To paraphrase Sir Humphrey, “a brave choice”

RoseWhiteTips · 21/01/2018 12:40

Awful.

PricillaQueenOfTheDesert · 21/01/2018 12:40

It really depends on where it is to be situated.

I love it in a slightly eccentric way. But it really wouldn’t suit my new build home.

If it helps, I’d love to know someone who did have this fabulously wild piece somewhere in their life.

catgirl1976 · 21/01/2018 12:41

If you're running a quirky tea shop you've found the perfect light

Dahlietta · 21/01/2018 12:42

I think some people could probably pull it off, but I couldn't.

bobstersmum · 21/01/2018 12:43

I imagine Mr Tumble would love it!

FlaviaAlbia · 21/01/2018 12:44

It's supposed to look cheap and cheerful though, it's not pretending to be anything it's not so working on that basis it would look like a bit of fun in many rooms where a crystal or similar chandelier would look out of place.

And I forgot to use incognito mode to open the link. It's going to follow me over the Internet forever, searing my eyeballs.

duplodancer · 21/01/2018 12:46

I like it. In the right room.

wolfmom · 21/01/2018 12:46

I love it. Would lift the spirits during the winter x

needmorespace · 21/01/2018 12:48

this is the chandelier in my daughter's bedroom - from when she was about 13!
She still loves it - it's not too bad in context but very plastic'y' and wouldn't really suit another room imo

DeStijl · 21/01/2018 12:49

Yeah it's definitely a choice.
Is it plastic..?

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 21/01/2018 12:51

Holy shit, that's hideous!

I love colour but that truly is awful.

BulletFox · 21/01/2018 12:54

It makes me wince and shield my eyes and back off slowly

feska5 · 21/01/2018 12:54

Sorry. It’s truly awful!

whatalicedidnext · 21/01/2018 12:56

It looks interesting.

ivenoideawhatimdoing · 21/01/2018 12:56

Gorgeous for a child's room or for a very bold home.

For me to put that in my beige fest of a living room, they'd have me sectioned...

Totally dependant on where it's going but if you like it, OP, get it!

BlondeB83 · 21/01/2018 12:58

If it was an expensive version it would probably be ok in the right setting - boho/modern Victoriana etc. but that’s awful.

BlondeB83 · 21/01/2018 12:58

My house is very bold, colourful and Victorian but I wouldn’t put that up.

diddl · 21/01/2018 13:01

It looks cheap & plastic-like a toy, so I would think limited suitability?

meredintofpandiculation · 21/01/2018 13:06

Sorry no I think its awful screams 1970s to me! Were you actually around in the 1970s?

Lana1234 · 21/01/2018 13:07

The colours are nice but it does look a bit plastic and cheap

Paintspotsonthefloor · 21/01/2018 13:10

I haven't read thread, only looked at the chandelier and seen the last few answers. The shape is indeed very 1970s. I was around then (and before) and my parents bought (and still have) a brass chandelier pretty Much exactly that shape. The colours on the other hand.... No, not 1970s at all.

battenbergbutterfly · 21/01/2018 13:11

Love it

WaxOnFeckOff · 21/01/2018 13:13

I think in a white room with clean lines and maybe just a punchy coloured cushion or tow it would look fine.
