Depends on where you are putting it. I think it is quite funky and put together well with other decor would look pretty cool.

WoofWoofMooWoof · 22/01/2018 17:42

Oh hell no!

IllHaveALargeGlassOfRed · 22/01/2018 17:43

I love it! I'd have it in my bedroom (in fact, I might just buy it myself!).

Go for it OP!

I have the largest version of this in my turquoise hallway. It's stunning and I still love it after many years!! Grin But the house can pull it off...it's Georgian with high ceilings. And we have similar eclectic bits and pieces elsewhere so it's not out of place.

Maireadplastic · 22/01/2018 17:49

I think a home should be 90% tasteful and/or functional, 10% kitsch, fun (however you term it). So this light fitting could work. I'd put it in the bathroom.

3out · 22/01/2018 17:49

I think it would go great in a downstairs loo in a Victorian era house (the sort that have been squeezed in at a later date, are long and narrow, and have no window). If the walls were a deep grey or lined with books then it would look ace.

I agree though, it’s such a shame it’s plastic. It would look so much better in metal and glass.

BossyBitch · 22/01/2018 17:51

I wouldn't personally because my style is rather minimalist, but I could see it working within a particular sort of context that I'd rather enjoy looking at for a brief period.

FarewellLolaBlue · 22/01/2018 17:52

Wow, I wasn't expecting such an assault on the eyes. To be kind it's... Gaudy.

busymomtoone · 22/01/2018 17:52

Never mind “ dogs or cats people” I want to be friends with the free spirits who love this thing, rather than the housefrau harpies who are sniffing about taste etc. Especially the lovely poster who said “ life’s too short to be restricted by other’s judgements “ ( though op did request! I don’t care if it’s “ trying too hard to be Wakky “ a dust collector, plastic etc. I fail to see how anyone could be miserable looking at one of these!! Personally I would think loo or teen/ young girls’ bedrKim, but people with eclectic taste/ vision can often make the oddest things look wonderful!! Either way op- you like it, buy it! Life’s grey enough!!

Pgs007 · 22/01/2018 17:52

Kids room sure

IceBearRocks · 22/01/2018 17:54

VILE !!!!

Smudge100 · 22/01/2018 17:54

Depends what you want it for. Would look lovely in a little girl’s room but in the master bedroom, no way!

TheVanguardSix · 22/01/2018 17:55

If it were crystal/glass it would be perfect.

I do love it. It wouldn't work at all in my home but if it does in yours, go for it.

Lovingit81 · 22/01/2018 17:55

Hate it. But you shouldn't care what anyone else thinks. If you like it buy it x

Laine21 · 22/01/2018 17:55

straight out of a disney cartoon

EggsonHeads · 22/01/2018 17:55

It looks like a clown pooped it out.

MsGameandWatching · 22/01/2018 17:56

For a child's room. Or could work if the room was totally plain and that was the only colour featured and if it was made of nicer materials. It looks plasticky.

EggsonHeads · 22/01/2018 17:57

*not saying it's bad per se but that was the first thing I thought and couldn't move beyond that mental picture to get to the point of actually deciding how good it looked.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 22/01/2018 17:57

I know someone who has one like this! It's not my taste but in this persons house I have to say it looks good! She has quite arty prints on the walls, bright cushions, multi coloured throw in sofa and lots of colourful ornaments.

BossyBitch · 22/01/2018 17:59

It looks like a clown pooped it out.
I was operating on the assumption that this was its unique selling point, really.

Yes, it does. Great for bonkers boho chic, less great for anything else.

Gingersstuff · 22/01/2018 17:59

Eggson GrinGrinGrin
See, that's precisely why I love it. I see it in my hallway every day and it makes me smile. But then so does my candy pink kitchen (Yes. Wipe your eyes, beige people!!)
People either love it or hate it. I give no fucks either way Grin

Lindsxxx · 22/01/2018 18:00

I LOVE it personally!!
I feel you like it who gives a shit what anyone else thinks :-)

Mymomsbetterthanyomom · 22/01/2018 18:00

Loooove it!!!

limecordial · 22/01/2018 18:02

Great for a kid’s room. Awful for anywhere else
