To think all cheap candles are hopeless?

I've been burning loads of different from cheap to mid priced candles over the last few months and I thought they were OK, today I've lit my Jo Malone ( last one I will be buying seen as they give so much free shit to 'bloggers') and the room is filled with fragrance and it's divine!!!!

Please give me some insight into brands that also do this... I always feel let down!

Aldi ones are rubbish. no scent at all
my affordable favourite is Isle of Skye Candles. highly recommend

Im obsessed with candles! I've tried them all: Diptyque, Jo Malone, Neom, The White Company, Isle of Skye Candles... and the only ones I buy for me now is Harper's Candles. Soy wax, smell absolutely gorgeous, lovely scents. Never looked back! And really cheap too! Honestly, try it!

Not read the full thread (sorry).
The true grace ones from John Lewis are good. They are still expensive though but only about 2/3 of the price of the Jo Malone ones.
Aldi ones are also good if on a budget.

Dyptique candles. The Jo Malone ones pale in comparison to those.

Sakura7 · 23/08/2018 22:24

The Aldi ones smell of nothing.

Max Benjamin are candles are gorgeous. Pricey but not as bad as JM.

Bluefargo · 23/08/2018 22:28

Max Benjamin - gorgeous quality

Definitely would also recommend St Eval, the scent throw is fantastic, they fill my whole ground floor even the little tin candles (£8-10 on Amazon)

My big question is whether Jo Malone diffusers fill the room like a candle would? (Or if you get used to it after a while)
