Thank you, justifiede; I spent ages thinking of it Grin

CeriBerry · 23/01/2018 15:10

Not had time to read the whole thread so will go back but:-

Bear Grylls- perfectly pleasant with me but quite arrogant.
Les Dennis- lovely.
John Barnes- really lovely, always willing to chat.
Sarah Parish and her actor husband Jim Murray- both very nice!
Roy Keane- he was really moody but I was an annoying kid wanting an autograph so maybe he was having an off day and fancied some peace.
Michael Owen- nice.
Tina O’Brien- really lovely and friendly. Down to earth and very nice.
Tony Bellew- didn’t really know who he was at the time but he was friendly enough!
Prince Charles and Camilla- I wasn’t really bothered about meeting them but they were pleasant.
Didier Hamman- really lovely and a right laugh!
Philip Pullman- so inspiring and amazing. Felt honoured to meet him!
Hannah Murray- Gilly from GoT. Nice girl.

Have also met a few Corrie actors- Sean and Maria and some other ex characters but didn’t really engage enough with them to judge whether they were nice!

DwangelaForever · 23/01/2018 15:38

I worked in house of Fraser in my teens and I've served:

Rory McIlroy
Gary Lightbody
Andi Peters

And a local tv presenter 😂 . Never met anyone more a-list unfortunately- although I suppose if you're into the golf Rory would be quite A list?

CuppaTeaTime2 · 23/01/2018 15:44

Jim Broadbent- awful, so rude.
Martin Roberts- awful, so rude too as he made clear on I'm a Celebrity.
Roy Cropper from corro- arrogant, unfriendly- nothing like Roy.

CuppaTeaTime2 · 23/01/2018 15:46

Oh Jacqueline Wilson as well. Absolutely lovely.

MichaelBendfaster · 23/01/2018 15:47

Jim Broadbent- awful, so rude.

CuppaTeaTime2 · 23/01/2018 15:48

Grilledaubergines · 23/01/2018 17:27

The poster who said David Jason was unpleasant, my life is ruined. I love(d) him so so much. Gutted now!

Hygge · 23/01/2018 18:25

Tinky Winky is married to a Sheila's Wheel?

Why has this never been a question on The Chase?

SluttyButty · 23/01/2018 18:32

Dame Judi Dench, she was lovely but I came over all star struck because she’s an icon, may have looked a bit like a weirdo Grin

Piggywaspushed · 23/01/2018 18:44

Tinky Winky was , yes. they divorced maybe 15 years ago.

Sheila's Wheel is Amy and Kate Robbins sister and they are cousins of Paul McCartney. One of the Robbins is married to Robert Dawes of The Royal and Emily Atack is the daughter of the other.

Tinky Winky died this week.. it was in the news today. Sad.

Hygge · 23/01/2018 18:50

Piggy that's really sad, how awful for his family.

Chocolatesprinkledcrumpet · 23/01/2018 18:52

Jeremy Irons, but he was really nice and down to earth.

Sorry to disappoint you.

Winteriscoming18 · 23/01/2018 18:57

Duncan Banatynne was pissed and was trying to come into me when I was waiting for my taxi a few year back. He was creepy and I was 27 at the time.

Piggywaspushed · 23/01/2018 18:59

Yes, poor Tinky Winky. He was a troubled soul.

Myview2 · 23/01/2018 21:59

I met Billy Connelly years ago when I was little and with my family. My Dad shouted ‘Hey Billy’ and he came over to speak to us. He was really friendly, asked my Dad his name and then told a funny story about someone he went to school with who had the same surname.

About twenty years later, my brother met him again in a pub. Funnily enough he couldn’t recollect the first meeting but grabbed a drink and sat down with my brother for a blether all the same.

I saw Judy Murray at the airport once and smiled at her as I thought she was someone I knew until I realised she didn’t know me! She smiled back and gave me twins a big grin.

On the other side, Fearne Cotton and her now hubby were sitting next to me in a restaurant abroad a few years ago. I fully expected her to be a happy smiley girl next door type I had imagined but she sat reapplying her make-up every two minutes at the dinner table and looking around to see if anyone recognised her. Naturally we pretended we had no idea who she was!

Finally a lady I used to work with has met Carole Smilie and calls her Caroline Grumpy - bit disappointed there too!

Spadequeen · 24/01/2018 09:43

Michael hutchence, extremely rude and arrogant. Although it could have been on off day, it’s not like I know him or anything, but it did put me off him

MichaelBendfaster · 24/01/2018 09:46

Yes, poor Tinky Winky. He was a troubled soul.
Was he? I don't know anything about him, but was sad to read that he collapsed and died in the street.

Myview, Carol S has appeared on these threads before and not usually in a positive light Grin Bit disappointing as I thought she came across quite well when she was on Strictly.

Piggywaspushed · 24/01/2018 11:00

Yes, I am afraid he was. Guess many actors are, especially those who have perhaps underachieved. he was actually a fantastic ballet dancer.

BrokenPogoStick · 24/01/2018 11:06

Oh thank god Liam Payne is arrogant! I can’t stand him

rabbit12345 · 24/01/2018 16:44

@winteriscoming

Duncan Banatynne was pissed and was trying to come into me when I was waiting for my taxi
