To have dropped a bottle on their car? Diagram included

So our local Tesco has several recycling bins in the road leading to the car park. The car park is right next to the store, always has spaces and includes parent child and accessible spaces.

Without fail every time we visit some CF has parked their car in the yellow lined space in front of the bins to save them a 1 minute walk to the store. This space is intended for the use of cars with recycling so they can unload easily, not for selfish lazy fuckers.

Today DH and myself were doing our recycling wine bottles and someone was parked so close to the bins I could barely get in. To clarify we were on foot so did not require to park there. I knocked on the window to ask if they could move the car so I could access the bin, but the woman in the car told me she wasn't the driver so couldn't. I had to squeeze in with my bum against her car.

Would I have been U to accidentally drop my recycling wine bottles on her bonnet?

I can't really draw well so the diagram consists of a fairly accurate representation of the scene using everyday household objects. DH and me are the lipsticks, the bins are the Whittards tea caddies and the CF's car is the tub of cream cheese.

Of course you WBU to damage someone's property.

What is she supposed to do if she's not the driver?

Notevilstepmother · 17/01/2018 13:55

Best picture ever.

DNBU.

Phosphorus · 17/01/2018 13:56

That is an excellent substitute for a drawing! Grin

You ought to carry those props around with you, and leave little reenactments on the bonnet of every offending car.

Jammydodger81 · 17/01/2018 13:57

If you genuinely dropped one as a result of having to squeeze in there then that’s not so bad, they kinda deserved it.

If you ‘accidentally’ dropped one to prove a point YABU, damaging someone’s car on purpose is not ok.

OhCalamity · 17/01/2018 13:58

I don't think that I'd drop a bottle onto the car as that could damage it.

If the bottles weren't rinsed out then I'd be shaking those last little drops of wine or beer out and some might accidentally get on the car.

Bitchywaitress · 17/01/2018 13:59

Please believe me I would not have damaged her car, but I can't say I wasn't a bit tempted.

Erm yes of course YABU.

OlennasWimple · 17/01/2018 14:00

Great diagram OP, very inventive

Did you complain to the store?

how many bottles are we talking here Grin

shouldwestayorshouldwego · 17/01/2018 14:02

A better solution would have been a cheery wave, pop your box of recycling on the cream cheese car and make comments about how useful it is not having to bend down to get the bottles Grin.

athingthateveryoneneeds · 17/01/2018 14:02

Not something I'd get particularly riled up over, but I'm a lazy so-and-so, and would have probably put the bottles down nearby, gone into Tesco for lunch and then finished the job once the car left.

Bitchywaitress · 17/01/2018 14:05

should that's the best idea ever!

Sexykitten2005 · 17/01/2018 14:07

As an aside are those the whittard mini tea caddies? How much tea can you get in one those?

Excellent re-enactment by the way, that’s the way all parking threads should be now.

Oh and yes YWBU to damage her car on purpose but I can see why you thought about it. Thinking and doing are totally different things and we’ve all fantasied about revenge at some point or other

Chowmum · 17/01/2018 14:07

I'm thinking this should be a stop motion animation with you and DH (the lipsticks) depositing your bottles (missed a trick there, OP, where are the minature representation of the pino grigio bottles?)

touchTypist · 17/01/2018 14:09

Of course you would.

What's wrong with people nowadays?

MumW · 17/01/2018 14:09

Well, thought is fine.
I would be serving about a hundred life sentences if things we think we would like to do to people who have pissed us off was a crime Grin
^ This.
next time wear jeans with large studs on the back pocket, just in case you have to squeeze passed another CF Wink

whiskyowl · 17/01/2018 14:12

Hahaaha! Love the reenactment. Philadelphia cheese woman was being a twat! Grin

I would have been tempted to empty the water that is always sloshing around at the bottom of recycling bottles over her bonnet accidentally on purpose.

MumW · 17/01/2018 14:14

Or just put them on their bonnet and say in a cheery voice that she won't mind popping the bottles in for you once her OH moves the car out the way and then rush off.

justforthisthread101 · 17/01/2018 14:16

Clearly you would have been unreasonable and well done for holding yourself back.

The driver is, however, clearly a CF.

And you win the diagram of the week award. Congratulations Grin

Bitchywaitress · 17/01/2018 14:16

chowmum here you go. I found something.

Is the car stolen and dumped?

Bitchywaitress · 17/01/2018 14:22

I 'accidentally' dropped the car in the bin as it was the same colour as a bottle of dark island ale. We also aquired a dog.

I love your diagram! Could you please recreate other famous scenes from history! Grin
