To have dropped a bottle on their car? Diagram included

So our local Tesco has several recycling bins in the road leading to the car park. The car park is right next to the store, always has spaces and includes parent child and accessible spaces.

Without fail every time we visit some CF has parked their car in the yellow lined space in front of the bins to save them a 1 minute walk to the store. This space is intended for the use of cars with recycling so they can unload easily, not for selfish lazy fuckers.

Today DH and myself were doing our recycling wine bottles and someone was parked so close to the bins I could barely get in. To clarify we were on foot so did not require to park there. I knocked on the window to ask if they could move the car so I could access the bin, but the woman in the car told me she wasn't the driver so couldn't. I had to squeeze in with my bum against her car.

Would I have been U to accidentally drop my recycling wine bottles on her bonnet?

I can't really draw well so the diagram consists of a fairly accurate representation of the scene using everyday household objects. DH and me are the lipsticks, the bins are the Whittards tea caddies and the CF's car is the tub of cream cheese.

Chanel lipstick? I call stealth boast.

The picture with the dog and "wine bottles" is inspired by the way!

speakout · 17/01/2018 14:24

Even if you "accidentally" dropped a bottle you would still be liable for damage.

(How did I even do that?)

BubblesInTheTub · 17/01/2018 14:28

A parking thread with, instead of a diagram, a fucking model made of spices and a book about wine?

You've won mumsnet, OP. It's over. It's done.

That aside, YWNU. I have a terrible habit of accidentally scraping the sides of cars that park on the pavement. I'm so clumsy.

Bitchywaitress · 17/01/2018 14:29

I actually turned the logo to the underside for the first picture for the very reason of being accused of stealth boastery.

However I could supply images of all my Channel products in my grade 1 listed house if you like? No private jet pictures sadly.

Gotta love a cheesy fucker

Eeeeek2 · 17/01/2018 14:35

Not unreasonable at all, I regularly have to resist the urge to accidentally bang my shopping trolley into the cars that get dumped half in the drop off bay (obstructing the road and distracting drivers from the crossing)

Best diagram ever! Well done op.

DiseasesOfTheSheep · 17/01/2018 14:43

I tend to have keys in my back pocket. They'd love that squeezing in past their car...

SandAndSea · 17/01/2018 15:06

I'd like to propose a new rule that all diagrams are created like this in future.

viques · 17/01/2018 15:08

wel done OP, I suspect you have started a new trend in MN parking diagrams, long overdue, I for one am fed up with those carefully drawn diagrams , coloured in with the kids felt tips, which then get posted upside down so you can't read the writing.

Long live the Philly cheese CFs!

Other soft cheese representations of CFs are available.

This might be the best thing I have ever seen on MN

Curtainshopping · 17/01/2018 15:12

YABU because if you can take your empty wine bottles on foot, you’re not drinking enough.

LunchBoxPolice · 17/01/2018 15:19

I would have left my recycling on the roof of their car.

Notasperfectasallothermners · 17/01/2018 15:22

Curtain - they walked due to still being over the limit to drive!!

glitterbiscuits · 17/01/2018 15:33

I want a bagel with Philadelphia now.

( and lots more threads with illustrations)

Thanks OP

Yep, the bar has been raised now!

TempusEejit · 17/01/2018 15:45

You need those little champagne bottle birthday cake candles if you re-enact this again. Loving it!

dorislessingscat · 17/01/2018 15:47

Your diagram is a thing of such beauty I was moved to tears.

My only complaint is that you have raised the bar too, too high.

Luckingfovely · 17/01/2018 15:50

This has made me very happy. I want to do stop motion with lipsticks now.

grannytomine · 17/01/2018 15:53

I think I might have put the box down in front of the car and thanked her for sorting out my recycling when the car moved.

Latenightreader · 17/01/2018 15:55

CF clearly stands for cheesy fucker from now on.

OwdBets · 17/01/2018 16:19

Top props, OP.
