Help, I just cannot stop eating .... I workout 5/6 days a week. (400-800 calories per workout) and I'm just constantly starving !
My daily diet looks something like this ....
bfast
tea skim milk x 2
Berries and natural yoghurt
Or
2 boiled eggs and raw veggies
A banana
2 white nectarines
Lunch
Steamed veggies and tuna (huge bowl)
Cheese stick
Snack
Celery with or without peanut butter
Carrot
Cherry toms
Almonds
Dinner
Chicken and chickpea salad
Or
Pork stir fry with brown rice and quinoa
Along with 3 litres of water/mini can of diet soft drink or small glass of juice and maybe another tea or skimmed latte (if I meet clients)
On the way home from work I'm starving !
Generally will grab a handful of almonds before I make dinner in an attempt to stop me picking at my dinner while I'm making it ! I wake up hungry, tummy rumbling hungry !!
Help it's driving me mad !!!!

I think you need more carbs. You work out a lot - no wonder you're always hungry.

How about a jacket potato with butter and cheese?

starsinyourpies · 15/01/2018 21:46

More protein, more fat.

RemainOptimistic · 15/01/2018 21:47

Stop working out so much. Biscuit

PurpleDaisies · 15/01/2018 21:49

Nothing you’re eating contains any proper calories. No wonder you’re hungry.

Have you tried working out how many calories per day you’re eating?

TheFlis12345 · 15/01/2018 21:50

When I try to eat very low fat (which that looks like) I am absolutely starving all the time! Add more good fats to your diet.

mrsharrison · 15/01/2018 21:52

At a guess i'd say that's 1,500 calories max but you're burning a lot of that off.

imgettingtoooldforthis · 15/01/2018 21:53

But I always thought carbs were bad ????
Good fat/protein can anyone give me some healthy examples ?

As PPs have said, definitely more complex carbs, protein and healthy fats.

jaseyraex · 15/01/2018 21:54

Try looking at some recipes by the Body Coach, sign up to his plan if you can. I swear by him. His recipes are fantastic and the portion sizes are huge and full of good stuff for when you're working out. You need lots more protein in there. You need to refuel well after working out especially when you work out a lot!

Allthewaves · 15/01/2018 21:54

I'd be adding olive oil to the salad and some more nuts.

glow1984 · 15/01/2018 21:55

You should have carbs with each meal. I don't understand why people cut them out

Also, cut the diet coke. it's full of shit, and I'm pretty sure it includes something that makes you hungry

Lifeisabeach09 · 15/01/2018 21:55

People reduce carbs to lose weight. They are not bad.
Complex carbs are a major source of nutrition (and calories) for the body.

Titsywoo · 15/01/2018 21:56

Carbs are fine - especially when you are working out so much!

InDubiousBattle · 15/01/2018 21:57

Your diet looks like mine did when I was actively trying to lose weight, only I wasn't doing nearly as much exercise as you (and still lost weight).

PurpleDaisies · 15/01/2018 21:57

Didn’t you recently have a thread about how to lose weight?

If you’re constantly starving, I think you’ve taken the diet too far.

JontyDoggle37 · 15/01/2018 21:58

Good protein: lean meat (chicken, pork loin, fillet steak), yogurt, cheese, eggs
Good fats: avocados, olive oil, rapeseed oil.
For breakfast I have half an avocado smashed onto a slice of sourdough toast with a little lime juice sprinkled over and a (dry) fried egg on top. Keeps me full right up to lunch!

BigBaboonBum · 15/01/2018 21:59

More carbs

TrickyKid · 15/01/2018 22:02

I'd be starving by 10am if I'd only had yoghurt for breakfast. Porridge would be a good start. Your diet looks healthy but not very filling, not surprised you're always hungry.

greendale17 · 15/01/2018 22:03

You should have carbs with each meal. I don't understand why people cut them out

^Completely agree

imgettingtoooldforthis · 15/01/2018 22:03

It's 50% carbs as it is ..... yes I am trying to loose 5kg and it's going no where !!

You need to fill up on protein if you’re training as much as that. At least 100g a day.
If you want to stick with the type of diet you’re doing, make smoothies and chuck in a scoop or two of protein powder or get protein yoghurts.
These are my favourites Arla.

You can have some carbs, especially after training. A quick, healthy fix is a pot of porridge like So Simple.

IMissGin · 15/01/2018 22:05

I’m not surprised- add some eggs, porridge, oat cakes, avocado, baked sweet potato, banana, brown rice, quinoa. Christ, have the odd bit of cake.

BigBaboonBum · 15/01/2018 22:05

Also you’re over thinking it, over thinking food makes you think about food more (obviously). Get a hobby and just be sensible

NC4now · 15/01/2018 22:06

The reason your carbs % is high is because you aren’t getting enough protein and fat, rather than you are eating too many carbs, if that makes sense.
Increase your protein and fat.

imgettingtoooldforthis · 15/01/2018 22:06

I do have a hobby ..... exercise!
