Help, I just cannot stop eating .... I workout 5/6 days a week. (400-800 calories per workout) and I'm just constantly starving !
My daily diet looks something like this ....
bfast
tea skim milk x 2
Berries and natural yoghurt
Or
2 boiled eggs and raw veggies
A banana
2 white nectarines
Lunch
Steamed veggies and tuna (huge bowl)
Cheese stick
Snack
Celery with or without peanut butter
Carrot
Cherry toms
Almonds
Dinner
Chicken and chickpea salad
Or
Pork stir fry with brown rice and quinoa
Along with 3 litres of water/mini can of diet soft drink or small glass of juice and maybe another tea or skimmed latte (if I meet clients)
On the way home from work I'm starving !
Generally will grab a handful of almonds before I make dinner in an attempt to stop me picking at my dinner while I'm making it ! I wake up hungry, tummy rumbling hungry !!
Help it's driving me mad !!!!

Are you just weighing or are you measuring instead? When I lifted a lot of weights I went down two dress sizes but hardly lost anything on the scales,

Idontdowindows · 15/01/2018 22:08

Do you measure your calories in? What's your deficit?

imgettingtoooldforthis · 15/01/2018 22:09

I've not measured myself .... though I should have. The scales haven't moved in months. But most of my size 10 stuff is a bit big and have been buying size small gym stuff and 8 in dresses.

Where’s the 5kg figure come from?

PurpleDaisies · 15/01/2018 22:10

Hang on, you’re a size eight but you want to lose 5kg?

SaucyJack · 15/01/2018 22:11

You're hungry because you're not eating enough at any one time.

You might actually feel better if you ditched all the snacks and fruit, and had a cheese sandwich instead.

imgettingtoooldforthis · 15/01/2018 22:12

Calories from the above list is 1100 - actually didn't realise it was that low BlushI find mfp a bit of a faff to use if your not scanning bar codes .... that might explain why I'm ready to chew my arm off on a daily basis ! Right might need to buy some protein then ! I was always scared it would make me fat. Can anyone recommend one ?

OP posts:
imgettingtoooldforthis · 15/01/2018 22:13

Yes I'm an 8/10 more 10 than 8 but want to get leaner .....

But most of my size 10 stuff is a bit big and have been buying size small gym stuff and 8 in dresses Hmm - this plus the boiled eggs and raw "veggies" (cos everyone has broccoli soldiers) - add it all together says to me stealth boast or something a little more worrying.

JeReviens · 15/01/2018 22:16

You've got problems if you're an size 8 on a regime like that. Perhaps a bit less gym and a bit more help for your very obvious disorder?

manicinsomniac · 15/01/2018 22:17

Is this a joke?

That's not overeating.

It looks like a very healthy, restrained diet to me ... and that's coming from an anorectic!

Are you genuinely worried or are you trying to make people who eat average-bad diets feel guilty?

Gacapa · 15/01/2018 22:17

Slightly off point, but never heard of white nectarines!

NC4now · 15/01/2018 22:18

Some of them are rank but if you get a whey isolate protein, like My Protein it won’t make you fat.
I train pretty hard with a PT to lose weight and this is what he recommends to rebuild muscle and burn fat.

PurpleDaisies · 15/01/2018 22:18

To be honest, your posts are a little worrying. You must have been tracking your calories and have had some idea you only had 300 left after exercising.

I’m not saying you have an issue with eating but I’d just check yourself now and see if you’re headed that way.

manicinsomniac · 15/01/2018 22:19

Cross post with some of your replies - I don't want to be alarmist and I can't armchair diagnose but it might be worth looking into orthorexia or anorexia and seeing if you identify with it.

NC4now · 15/01/2018 22:20

I’m not saying you need to lose weight at all by the way, but you need to fuel all that exercise.

Pinkponiesrock · 15/01/2018 22:21

I clicked on this as I also can’t stop eating however unfortunately my day looks like this -
7am
Coffee with oat milk
Full sugar Alpen with oat milk
10am
Mini cheddar things
12pm
2 massive slices of tiger bread with butter and tuna
Some (4 piecesBlush) of rocky road, homemade so I know it’s not a healthy version
Apple
Banana
4.30pm
More bloody tiger bread, that stuff is amazing!
5.45pm
Massive plate of Bolognese
7.30pm
Banana and more rocky road
10pm
More mini cheddars

I should be enormous but thankfully is pretty quick and I run a lot but I definitely do not need to eat as much as I do BlushCakeCakeCake
I wouldn’t go by what you weight, how toned you look and how you feel should be your guide.

Idontdowindows · 15/01/2018 22:21

Yep, 1100 in is definitely too low. Do you have a Fitbit or something like that? I find mine is great for keeping track properly with regard to the proper deficit.

So add some carbs and up your intake :) I wouldn't do more than 500 calories deficit for a nice and steady loss.

Pinkponiesrock · 15/01/2018 22:22

Should say my metabolism is pretty quick!

TinklyLittleLaugh · 15/01/2018 22:22

I think MFP is really useful in this sort of situation. My DH was training lots and constantly starving and losing weight. MFP calculated he needed 4000 calories a day so he was able to make sure he are enough.

10thingsIhateAboutTheDailyMail · 15/01/2018 22:24

Sounds like a weight loss diet?

I eat what you eat plus pasta, and a baked potato thrown in, in a dayGrin ... plus some chocolate, and I am "maintaining" my weight with that (carbs offset by exercise)

Lovemusic33 · 15/01/2018 22:24

Carbs and protein are good if you work out.

I work out 4-6 days a week, I’m always hungry, fruit and veg don’t always cut it. Jacket potatoes for lunch are filling, I often keep cooked chicken in the fridge to snack on. I have porridge for breakfast, sometimes I top up with a protein shake after the gym.

LoniceraJaponica · 15/01/2018 22:31

How tall are you, and how much do you weigh?

imgettingtoooldforthis · 15/01/2018 22:32

I'm 5'6/7 and weight 65kgs

yorkshireyummymummy · 15/01/2018 22:42

I like what pinkponies eats.

I don’t if it’s because I’m curvey —actually very fat— but with the OP’s daily eating menu all I can hear is “look at me and my perfect eating plan”. I think you need to add a giant bag of hula hoops, some tiger bread and butter and some hobnobs. Wine 🍷 optional.
