Help, I just cannot stop eating .... I workout 5/6 days a week. (400-800 calories per workout) and I'm just constantly starving !
My daily diet looks something like this ....
bfast
tea skim milk x 2
Berries and natural yoghurt
Or
2 boiled eggs and raw veggies
A banana
2 white nectarines
Lunch
Steamed veggies and tuna (huge bowl)
Cheese stick
Snack
Celery with or without peanut butter
Carrot
Cherry toms
Almonds
Dinner
Chicken and chickpea salad
Or
Pork stir fry with brown rice and quinoa
Along with 3 litres of water/mini can of diet soft drink or small glass of juice and maybe another tea or skimmed latte (if I meet clients)
On the way home from work I'm starving !
Generally will grab a handful of almonds before I make dinner in an attempt to stop me picking at my dinner while I'm making it ! I wake up hungry, tummy rumbling hungry !!
Help it's driving me mad !!!!

You’re the same weight and height as me, and about the same clothes size. I would like to drop about 5kg to be honest, if I could get closer to 9 stone I’d be happier.

However if I could just get under 10 stone I’d be happy Grin
I’m not huge by any stretch and I’m sure you’re not either, but I would like to be leaner too, the problem is I love eating!
I could run so much faster if I didn’t have to carry about that extra weight.

RidingWindhorses · 15/01/2018 22:44

You need more complex carbs for energy with all that exercise. Carbs convert to glucose and your body needs glucose for energy.

People go high protein/low carb if they're trying to lose weight, but it's not actually very good for your kidneys to eat too much protein long term.

You don't really need to lose weight only to tone up, which you probably are. Go on your clothes not on your weight.

manicinsomniac · 15/01/2018 22:49

So your bmi is 22.4 - 23.1 (depending on your actual height) - which is pretty much perfect. You will probably lose more weight on what you're eating but you don't need to. I wouldn't say you had to eat more carbs if your current diet was satisfying for you but it obviously isn't. Change things up a bit and/or relax a little, have what you fancy, keep up your exercise and monitor your weight - it probably won't change very much and you'll feel more energised and fuller.

PennyBBT · 15/01/2018 22:51

Need nor cars and protein it looks LIKe! there are good and bad carbs. Just gotta work out best (Eg. Whole wheat/grain stuff) x

Zolabudder · 15/01/2018 22:54

I don't want to appear rude but fuck me that sounds dull. Cut down on the working out and get a spaghetti bolognaise down your throat with a couple of glasses of wine.

RidingWindhorses · 15/01/2018 22:57

Nothing more dull than spag bol.

Fresta · 15/01/2018 23:03

I think you are lacking in carbs. I don't exercise that much but eat carbs with every meal. You need some toast, porridge similar for breakfast alongside your eggs.
You need some potatoes, pasta or bread with each meal.
I'd be starving too on what you eat!

Viviennemary · 15/01/2018 23:04

Doesn't seem you're eating enough with all that working out. Do you not have much weight to lose. And eat more through the day and less for your evening meal.

Fresta · 15/01/2018 23:05

I'd rather a slag bol and a glass of wine than quinoa and a stirfry and 3 litres of water. Bloody hell!

RidingWindhorses · 15/01/2018 23:07

I'd much rather have quinoa and stir fry.

Not keen on pasta which doesn't taste of much, and bolognese is just glorified mince.

BigBaboonBum · 15/01/2018 23:08

Bloody hell I thought this was a serious post, not just someone already at a healthy weight wanting to be smaller. You’re already healthy and no wonder your body is fighting the loss

Sparklesocks · 15/01/2018 23:13

I think you should be careful you don’t get obsessed with diet and exercise, sounds like it might be taking over your life.

mrsharrison · 15/01/2018 23:21

Op i admire your discipline. I wish i had your willpower. You just to fill up more.

Goodtogo81 · 16/01/2018 00:33

More protein, perhaps also some wholegrains and drink more water. ?

Allthewaves · 16/01/2018 00:36

Go full fat too. Change yogurt to full fat and you will feel fuller longer. Couple of spoons of full fat yogurt keeps me full where I was have half large tub of low fat yogurt

Leilaniiii · 16/01/2018 00:41

Ditch the nuts, cheese, peanut butter and stick to 3 meals a day. I think you’d really Northern very a difference.

Leilaniiii · 16/01/2018 00:45

*WTF? Sorry, I meant “I think you’d really notice a difference.”

stopgap · 16/01/2018 01:57

I’m your height, also workout 5/6 days a week, and weigh 9 stone.

Today I ate:

Diced chicken, avocado, berries, coconut milk yoghurt, kombucha drink.

Mid morning: sweet potato crisps and a sachet of peanut butter

Lunch: Two tuna mayo wraps with cucumber and avocado

Dinner: Steak in butter, sweet potatoes and spinach.

Snack: four squares of dark chocolate, another coconut yoghurt and an apple

To be honest, I could probably stand to eat a bit more given how hard I work out, but I would want to down a giraffe and eat the thing raw on 1200-1500 calories.

You could either maintain your calorie intake and stick to just weights; or you could (and probably should) add in another five hundred calories of protein and good fats.

imgettingtoooldforthis · 16/01/2018 07:46

I don't understand why people think this is a joke .... just because I'm trying to curtail my constant snacking ! Might try something from joe wicks tonight - thought the mango chicken burgers looked fab !

Umakemefeellikedancing · 16/01/2018 07:48

We all need some carbs. Working out is great but I think 5/6 days is too much

IMissGin · 16/01/2018 08:06

It’s pretty simple- if you want to stop snacking so much you need to start eating decent meals. It’s fairly obvious that there’s nothing filling in the food list you’ve posted.

SaucyJack · 16/01/2018 08:24

"I don't understand why people think this is a joke .... "

Well, it's pretty hard to work out where your confusion is coming from, or what the point of this post is (other than getting attention).

You are hungry because you don't ever eat sufficiently filling meals. End of story really.

Either eat more, or put up with if you want to keep your weight unnaturally (for you) low.

imgettingtoooldforthis · 16/01/2018 09:06

Wow it's nice to see your clearly having a good start to your day @SaucyJack !

RadioGaGoo · 16/01/2018 09:37

I fancy a nice spag bol tonight now.

Singingtherapy · 16/01/2018 10:28

People are confused and suspecting this is a joke because you apear to have an interest in and a knowledge of health and nutrition. And yet you post a meal plan of an extremely strict weight loss diet, totalling 1100 calories a day, state that you're combining it with 4 workouts a week and you really have no idea why you're hungry.
