... to feel disgusted at fox-chasing toff-twits!

On my way to a local town for lunch today, we had to slow down and stop as a horse came galloping up towards us in the middle of the road. On his back sat a dandified twit who was looking for his hounds. In the nearby field some 100 (I kid you not) other starched twits sat on brainwashed horses with hungry hounds running amok. Traffic swayed and stopped as these twits had clearly lost the little sense they had and were dispersing all over the highway, horses looking dazed at being led among cars at great speed on slippery tarmac. Hounds confusedly sniffing all over the road and verges. How much had these twit-toffs drunk? It was not yet noon!

My friends in our car tried to calm me down saying it must be a drag when all of a sudden a poor defenseless fox jumped on the dry-stone wall looking wild-eyed as it tried to determine whether he was safer making a run for it across a busy road or turn back into a field of crazed, uncontrolled hounds and drunken (British?) twits. The fox froze and the driver of my car sped on as I screamed with panic for the predictable fate of the fox.

Why the f*ck is a supposedly civilized country allowing this kind of savagery to continue?

If you don’t think fox hunting is barbaric and should be banned you’re a monumental piece of shit human being. This is a fact

mustbemad17 · 15/01/2018 09:20

Bertrand i'm not expecting anything tbh. But I'm bored of the 'you won't listen' mantra so figured i'd lay down the excuses i've heard & see if anyone responds

Middleoftheroad · 15/01/2018 09:20

Bertrand I'm expecting just that...

But we keep being told that we don't understand - like there is a higher purpose, a secret reason - that it's futile to explain.

I want to be enlightened because right now I can't think of one authentic and humane reason.

Rebeccaslicker · 15/01/2018 09:24

Bertrand - Those aren't arguments. They are reasons.

Trotted out by selfish fuckwits who think their pleasure trumps all.

An argument would be scientific proof that it's not cruel, and/or actual evidence that it's beneficial for the rest of the environment in that area, foxes otherwise having no predators - that sort of thing.

DullAndOld · 15/01/2018 09:26

Morning Rebecca! I am just off to fuck my brother.

KateMiddletonsOtherMum · 15/01/2018 09:26

Foxes are not cute and cuddly but are predators who cause untold damage to chickens, rabbits and binbags.

DullAndOld · 15/01/2018 09:27

..if you want to talk about stupid stuff being trotted out by fuckwits that is..

Tofftwitty · 15/01/2018 09:27

It's simple though - we like it because we are evil ,psychopathic, inbred, cousin shagging, cross eyed cunts.

No other reasons at all.

Tofftwitty · 15/01/2018 09:28

Morning Dull..I've just shagged mine!

DullAndOld · 15/01/2018 09:29

Grin @ Tofft

mustbemad17 · 15/01/2018 09:31

I guess it's pretty obvious we aren't getting any answers...so obvious conclusions to be drawn!

Kate my neighbours' cats do exactly the same thing to our binbags, the local rabbits & the chickens...does that mean I can set a pack of dogs on them???

BertrandRussell · 15/01/2018 09:35

“An argument would be scientific proof that it's not cruel, and/or actual evidence that it's beneficial for the rest of the environment in that area, foxes otherwise having no predators - that sort of thing“

Oh, sorry, I misunderstood. No, there aren’t any of those. But there aren’t any of those for maypole dancing either. In many ways they are very similar.

Rebeccaslicker · 15/01/2018 09:35

I love the way the couple of pro hunting posters (assuming it's not the same person, the timing of their posts is rather "coincidental", to say the least...) focus on thinking they are so hilarious instead of the genuine dislike and disgust for their "hobby" from everyone else on the thread.

It's so patronising to assume that people think foxes are "cute and cuddly". Loads of posters have made it very clear they are country people and know exactly what foxes are like. That doesn't mean they deserve a horrible death at the hands of inbred twits (twats actually have a use!) with nothing better to do!

BertrandRussell · 15/01/2018 09:36

“Foxes are not cute and cuddly but are predators who cause untold damage to chickens, rabbits and binbags.”

Yep. Absolutely. And they need to be controlled.

Rebeccaslicker · 15/01/2018 09:37

Ha, maybe - if the spectacle of maypole dancing were to flush out a sleeping dancer and make him run round and round the pole in fear of his life for hours whilst being chased with dogs and pounding heavy horses' hooves and people blowing horns and whooping for his death until eventually he is trapped and exhausted, at which point the other dancers rip him to shreds!

BertrandRussell · 15/01/2018 09:38

However I think we do our cause no good with the constant “toff””inbred””twat” comments.

BertrandRussell · 15/01/2018 09:39

It would certainly make maypole dancing more fun. But my point stands.

DullAndOld · 15/01/2018 09:39

Rebecca , if you would stop using the 'inbred' insult it would really help your argument.

It's not original, it's not smart and it pretty much shows that all you want to do is throw silly insults about.

If you really want to know I am not even pro hunting, particularly, I just get annoyed with the 'inbreeding' thing. It makes you sound like a thick idiot to be honest, with not very much to say.

And I can assure you that 'Toff' and I are quite separate people.

LizzieSiddal · 15/01/2018 09:40

“Foxes are not cute and cuddly but are predators who cause untold damage to chickens, rabbits and binbags”

True but that doesn’t mean you need to chase them with a pack of dogs who then rip them apart.

I live in a village, yes we have foxes. So we fix proof our chicken area with fix proof fencing. It’s very easily done. Have had chickens for 20 years and never lost one to a Fox. Same with rabbits.

Binbags? Put the rubbish in a bin maybe?Hmm

LizzieSiddal · 15/01/2018 09:40

*Fox not fix

DullAndOld · 15/01/2018 09:41

I live near a town where if you mention it , all these 'smart' 'funny' people (idiots) start shouting about 'inbreds'.
It's not funny, and it is very far from original.

mustbemad17 · 15/01/2018 09:43

In our defence, we don't have bins, just a nice walled area to dump our binbags (live in a flat). The cats (and hedgehogs it appears) have a field day 🙄 Still wouldn't set my dogs on em tho.
I hate the 'foxes kill chickens/rabbits' argument. If you take on the responsibility of keeping them, it is your responsibility to keep them safe.

Rebeccaslicker · 15/01/2018 09:47

Believe me, dull, there is NOTHING I find funny about hunting. You can get riled up about whatever terms you like - but it's nothing but a great way to miss the very serious points.

And yes, I also grew up in an area where the posh town referred to the local villages as "woollybacks" and said "gimme 6" etc. Doesn't mean it doesn't apply to the kind of muppet who thinks it's great to take their young kids down to support a hunt.

Northernmum12 · 15/01/2018 09:47

I have horses but don’t hunt and never would. Foxes can be a pest if numbers in certain areas get to high but I would much rather a well trained marksmen shot them quickly and cleanly.
Please do not donate to the sab groups, those people are dangerous and are only out to cause trouble. Twice I have been hacking in plain clothes, once me, a friend and our 2 Jack Russells, once leading a group of children, and these idiots have attacked us. Swinging off horses heads, spraying pepper spray, screaming obscenities. I’m assuming a hunt must have been in the area but I hadn’t heard a thing and we clearly had no connection to them

Rebeccaslicker · 15/01/2018 09:47

Bertrand - I could perhaps justify it for Morris dancing? I think it's a little harsh for maypole dancing though!
