To wonder how you can have £50k of facial surgery and not have some sort of identity crisis?

There’s a girl on Geordie Shore who has had £50k of cosmetic surgery and now looks like a totally different person. I mean it’s a whole new face. It’s got me wondering- I know that it’s gradual and has been done over time but still... I can’t imagine looking in the mirror at a reflection that’s so vastly different from the face I was born and grew up with. By choice. However unhappy she may have been with her appearance beforehand, surely there’s some sort of psychological impact that goes beyond “Yay!! I have big lips now!”??

Also- she’s 22.

That is bonkers. Her own mother probably wouldn't recognise her.

She's not especially stunning either, she just looks like an identikit model of a woman.

Really sad actually.

PrancingQueen · 11/01/2018 00:51

Her mouth looks ridiculous

RoseWhiteTips · 11/01/2018 00:52

She looked okay before. Poor soul...

steff13 · 11/01/2018 00:54

It looks like they fucked up one of her eyes; her left eye is kind of droopy in the after picture, but not in the before.

DeleteOrDecay · 11/01/2018 00:56

I didn't notice the eye thing at first but now I can't unsee it.

juliesaway · 11/01/2018 00:57

This is the aspirational look for millions of suburban women nowadays, egged on by the likes of Kylie Kardashian. It ends up with them all looking the same, frozen, plastic and like blow up dolls. At least the cloned blonde Sloane Ranger types in the 80s still kept their faces intact. This new trend, spurred by selfies and social media is absolutely hideous.

Butterymuffin · 11/01/2018 01:01

Of course she's got some sort of identity crisis. No way not to have when you're prepared to go to those lengths to change your looks.

SlowlyShrinking · 11/01/2018 01:04

I would think maybe she’s been abused as a child and wants to look/feel like a different person to the abused one. Very sad.

Bambooshoot · 11/01/2018 01:05

She was so pretty beforehand - why bother? If I'd spent 50k I'd expect to be Audrey Hepburn at the very least, not idendikit blonde!

KungFuEric · 11/01/2018 01:05

That's an awful lot of work to have had done at 22 years old.

Where does she go from here? When will she be at peace with herself and stop the tweaking?

It's concerning what people are doing now with plastic surgeries, how much can our face/body stand up to when there's silicones and fillers that we don't really know yet how they will react over time.

AngeloMysterioso · 11/01/2018 01:05

The eye thing could just be badly applied false lashes to be fair.

Juliesaway I think you’re right although I’d argue the trend was around before Kylie jumped on the bandwagon, she just made it way more popular and exposed a younger generation to it. Although it looks as though Kendall has finally been sucked in as well, poor kid...

I can't tell Kylie and Kendal apart now.

CoolCarrie · 11/01/2018 01:19

She was a very pretty woman before, but bloody hell, as pp have said she now looks like loads of another reality types, what a shame.

emmyrose2000 · 11/01/2018 02:10

I've no idea who this person is, or what the show is, but if the brunette version is "before" and the blonde version is "after", I'd be asking for a full refund. She was very nice looking before, but looks awful now.

LoveProsecco · 11/01/2018 02:18

No idea who she is but this looks like 2 different people which seems sad

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 11/01/2018 04:18

Why has she spent so much money on surgery. She looked absolutely stunnimg before. Very vibrant, natural and fresh faced. Now she just looks plastic.
However some people change and develop naturally as well, don't they. I mean if you saw a picture of me today and one In my teens you wouldn't guess in a million years that it was the same person.

Battleax · 11/01/2018 04:25

Wow, those photos should be the other way around. She must have some form of dysphoria.

Don't but your DDs Bratz dolls, folks. They may try to be one.

highinthesky · 11/01/2018 04:55

Classic facial dyspmorphia. She’ll end up looking like the bride of Wildenstein.

Where does a 22yo get £50k from?!

Mummyoflittledragon · 11/01/2018 05:01

That’s bonkers. It doesn’t look like the same person. Poor woman she looks awful. Far nicer face before.

juliesaway · 11/01/2018 05:01

Loans and tv work I guess.
I have a couple of relatives who spent £10k on boob implants whilst on benefits. Waltz around looking like 2 cent dolly birds in some shitty small nowhere town. Horses for courses.

octonaught · 11/01/2018 05:10

Plastic surgeons should have some code of ethics whereby if some one wanted so much surgery, they needed to have a series of psych consultations first. She looks way older than 22 in the after pic. She actually doesn't look human; looks like prosthetics
