ti think Cadbury should have changed their Creme Egg packaging re trying to discover the rare white egg!

Ds ask for a Creme Egg last week and I noticed about half a dozen eggs with the tin foil scratched. No doubt people trying to find the elusive white egg!

Do you think that Cadbury just cba and went ahead with this silly nonsense.

The thought of eating a normal Creme Egg lately makes me feel queasy (don’t make them like they used to) never mind finding an even more sickly white chocolate egg. Confused

I’m not buying any this year as it’s probably been opened and thumbed by all and sundry!

Leeds2 · 09/01/2018 23:38

I didn't realise that the white eggs were "hidden". I thought they were in separate packaging. And that I would be able to find one easily!

rightsaidfrederickII · 09/01/2018 23:41

If you read the ingredients list you can tell if it's white chocolate or not! Cadburys have confirmed it.

I won't be buying a creme egg this year - the whole thing is unsanitary

HelenaDove · 10/01/2018 00:26

What a stupid utterly unhygenic idea.

Choccywoccyhooha · 10/01/2018 01:32

Yep, they have all been tampered with in our co-op. Gross.

Ginkypig · 10/01/2018 01:51

Eww Confused

Frillyhorseyknickers · 10/01/2018 01:55

Jesus people are absolutely grim - what kind of Neanderthal does that?

IndigoMoonFlower · 10/01/2018 02:09

They are sickly, I've never liked them. I'm glad I dont like them, yuk!

ToadOfSadness · 10/01/2018 02:23

Palm oil and sugar, hate Cadburys, it is revolting non-chocolate never mind the non-chocolate white stuff.

NewYearNiki · 10/01/2018 02:23

There's only 371.

It's not worth even trying

Sallystyle · 10/01/2018 02:29

But clever egg-hunters have found a way to check if your Creme Egg is going to be white chocolate or not without even opening it.

While regular eggs just list milk chocolate as an ingredient, the special and limited edition eggs say "white".

From The Sun (first link of google)

Sallystyle · 10/01/2018 02:30

Oh, just noticed that someone else had already posted that.

StarWarsFanatic · 10/01/2018 02:30

I've worked in shops and half of them come in with the foil not covering the whole thing anyway. I would only buy them if I had just opened the box.

scrabbleplayer · 10/01/2018 03:30

I wouldn’t mind but the prizes are barely worth it...

UniversityAlreadyQuestionMark · 10/01/2018 03:39

Mixed with flu virus - yum.

BarbaraofSevillle · 10/01/2018 06:15

Plenty of people would be quite/very excited to win £50 to £2000 scrabble.

And I think it would be more than adequate compensation for the white chocolate for those who don't like it.

Maybe the shops are going to have to keep the eggs behind the counter if people are opening them without buying them.

I don't like or buy Cadburys so doesn't affect me anyway.

HelenaDove · 10/01/2018 13:13

Barbara it doesnt affect me either as i dont eat creme eggs but that doesnt mean i and others shouldnt be concerned about how this stupid decision could affect public health.

Biker47 · 10/01/2018 15:11

Guess, I'll have to buy them in boxes of 6 or 12 if I want to avoid getting one which has been tampered with, not complaining though.

DGRossetti · 10/01/2018 15:23

If they really want to sell more, they could start by making them taste nice again. Not mess around with vacuous promotions like this.

fastfrank · 10/01/2018 15:41

I won't buy one on the basis that I don't know who's been fucking with the foil, poking and prodding them with their gross fingers. They've made a serious error in judgement on this one. It won't increase sales because people will just tamper with the packaging without buying one.

TheDailyMailIsADisgustingRag · 10/01/2018 15:47

Eeeeewww. At the unhygienic-ness and the thought of a white chocolate creme egg Envy (not envy).

wifeyhun · 10/01/2018 15:49

I bought a box the other day as I didn't want one that had been fingered by fluey hands. No wonder everybody is ill.

livingdownsouth · 10/01/2018 15:58

I blooming love Creme eggs and now I can't buy any because there's a danger I might either find a disgusting non-chocolate one or find the only ones definitely made of real chocolate have been pawed at by grubby fingers.

FlippingFoal · 10/01/2018 15:59

Just check the ingredients and it's easy to work out the white ones...

PinkHeart5914 · 10/01/2018 16:03

I’ll only be buying them in the multipack boxes this year! I don’t want one someone has scratched, poked or prodded.
