Whenever we see news coverage of events like this there are huge crowds outside the venue. I'm wondering if being part of that crowd is an easy thing to do?

Is it all because you're hiding behind a keyboard that you feel you can be so nasty?

Of course Ops posts have been so lovey dovey.

and it's definitely you who sounds positive and lovely

Unless you know the OP personally you have no idea if they are positive and lovely or not.

If you don't want people opinions don't ask for them it really is that simple.

QuiteLikeable · 09/01/2018 12:37

OP, I like how you've pretty much taken this thread on the chin.

I think you sound like a laugh. I can't see the Royals far enough, but I'd come with you so we can drink a lot and have a laugh at all the craziness. Grin

Battleax · 09/01/2018 12:43

Yes OP is a good sport.

DreamyMcDreamy · 09/01/2018 12:53

There's a bit of difference between giving an opinion and insinuating someone's pathetic or sad like some have done, just because it'snot something you personally would enjoy doing!
Just nasty for the sake of being nasty, whether it's in AIBU or not. Hmm

Oblomov18 · 09/01/2018 12:55

I could go. It's not far. But I won't, because I can't see the attraction. Cold, wet and can't see anything? What's the point?

BigBaboonBum · 09/01/2018 12:58

I stayed in OHs central London flat for the election (hoping to see Corbyn in), and people thought I was weird. I think you’re totally weird for wanting to see the royal family thing, because they’re just a family - but if that excites you, sure

No there isn't. It is their opinion that doing a certain thing is somewhat pathetic. There is no difference because they are not two separate things.

GColdtimer · 09/01/2018 13:54

I am amazed people can be so passionate about other people doing something they wouldn't want to, it doesn't harm you, it has no effect on you so why get so wound up. I also don't think half of the people calling the OP pathetic would say so if you were talking to her face.

I would honestly rather stick hot pins in my eyes than do this but I am comfortable enough in my own skin not to feel the need to mock those who do.

Sweetpea55 · 09/01/2018 14:12

Well OP,,after your reply I sincerely hope you get the double shits,,that you get refused entry to any conveniences, that theres no toilet paper if and when you do get your sarky arse over a pan ...and that the bridal party pass while you are on there....and that it rains,,,,,

DreamyMcDreamy · 09/01/2018 14:44

OP sounds fun.Are you taking flags to wave? Grin

Agerbilatemycardigan · 09/01/2018 14:48

It's not something that I would do, but I'm all for personal choice, so if it makes you happy and you're not hurting anyone, then go for it.

Tweety2067 · 09/01/2018 14:50

Sounds fab OP!

I booked an ill timed holiday to Zante in May when slightly tipsy last summer and now facing the prospect of kissing both the Eurovision AND now the Royal Wedding. I'm only just 2 hours away from Windsor so would have considered it myself!

Royalcoronation · 09/01/2018 14:53

sweet

Thanks for your best wishes. If o do happen upon the double shits I shall pop a wee picture up just for you when I update the thread Grin

I've just been watching the news and they were showing Harry and Meghan in Brixton today. I wasn't surprised at the crowds, but what really baffled me was the screaming! What on earth gets into people that they scream at the top of their lungs at the sight of Harry and Meghan. I don't get it at all. Confused

Sweetpea55 · 09/01/2018 15:29

Yes please do.. I love a good 😂

Mot read the thread but whether your a fan or not etc it's a moment in time, a historic moment in time.
I have been to London for Queens jubilee and it was the buzz and atmosphere that was amazing, I wasn't really there to honour the jubilee.
There will be a fantastic atmosphere op, Windsor is a wonderful town... Go and enjoy.

Ilovesliz · 10/01/2018 11:43
