Whenever we see news coverage of events like this there are huge crowds outside the venue. I'm wondering if being part of that crowd is an easy thing to do?

Battleax · 08/01/2018 13:07

Do.

Autocorrect thinks it's a medium.

Royalcoronation · 08/01/2018 13:07

Actually royalcoronation asking what people thought is exactly what you’re doing Confused

Can you also not read the question?

You are asking what people think to to be fair Confused

BertrandRussell · 08/01/2018 13:08

There is a plan growing on Twitter for loads of people to go and sleep on the streets the night before........

GColdtimer · 08/01/2018 13:08

Blimey what is wrong with people? Is there any need for the nastiness, calling people pathetic and so on.

Op it's not my thing at all but people always look like they are having a good time when they do it.

Royalcoronation · 08/01/2018 13:09

You di know the bride's name?

I do yes.

OP posts:
Battleax · 08/01/2018 13:09

Maybe stop calling her Mrs Harry then?

CheeseAndBeans · 08/01/2018 13:10

Go for it if you want to! I was on the mall for William and Kate's wedding. It was a fab day! The atmosphere was incredible. Got there early, drank lots of champagne and got chatting to lots of people near us. We ended up in a pub with some of them til late at night. Definitely a day I won't forget. I love the royal family, we do this stuff so well. Was on the Thames for the jubilee too.
I won't go to Windsor but if I lived nearer I probably would do, I lived in London up until a few years ago and the mall was in walking distance so was a pretty chilled day.

Royalcoronation · 08/01/2018 13:10

Ah crack on then. I shall ignore the rest.

Meanwhile, if anyone else wants to give helpful advice regarding the ease, like I asked, it will be greatly appreciated Grin

Hello MrsMrBattleax GrinGrin

Randomlywondering · 08/01/2018 13:11

People are so rude on here!

I wouldn't go myself as I'm a bit of a republican but I imagine it will be a day to remember. The atmosphere always looks great.

Royalcoronation · 08/01/2018 13:12

Maybe stop calling her Mrs Harry then?

Maybe I did it once. Maybe it doesn't matter. Maybe I will never call her anything as I will never meet her. Maybe everyone knew who I meant. Maybe it's irrelevant, on this thread.

OP posts:
DottyBlue2 · 08/01/2018 13:13

I still want to know how you're going to wee.

Royalcoronation · 08/01/2018 13:13

So why are you posting on AIBU then? And sorry but waiting hours for a Royal to walk past you is a bit sad.

Tbh I don't really know. I just came here.

I'm not even interested in the royal walking past, it's the atmosphere of the crowd I wanted to experience.

1DAD2KIDS · 08/01/2018 13:13

YANBU. If you want to be part of it go and enjoy.

Royalcoronation · 08/01/2018 13:13

What a crazy thread to get het up about! GrinConfused
I’m surprised you got any answersop let alone snippy ones!
Have a nice time...

Battleax · 08/01/2018 13:14

You sound a bit giddy, to put it charitably.

Isn't there a royalists union somewhere that will share secret info and disproportionate excitement with you? Smile

FundayMorning · 08/01/2018 13:15

Mrs Harry is fine. That's what she'll be - he'll be made a Duke of somewhere and she'll be known as duchess of the same place by dint of marriage - same as Mrs Harry if you ask me. She won't be annointed duchess megan of suits will she? She'll take on his name and title with "ess" on the end.

Royalcoronation · 08/01/2018 13:15

Had a brilliant time at the ensuing all night party. Great atmosphere and tremendous " community" feel

That's exactly why I want to go - I think it will be an amazing day/night

Wellfuckmeinbothears · 08/01/2018 13:15

I’d really like to go too! I’ve never been to anything like it. DH has zero interest so might have to drag my mum along!

BuzzKillington · 08/01/2018 13:15

As someone who wouldn't even watch any of it on tv, I am slightly intrigued by those that go and wave flags. Proles waiting hours on end for a glimpse - it's demeaning to me.

So in answer to your post title, YABU imo.

Shadow1986 · 08/01/2018 13:15

We are local to Windsor and I had the thought about going too, but I think you’d have to get there so early, there will be thousands of people etc, so may organise a little gathering at home to watch it at home!

Royalcoronation · 08/01/2018 13:17

My friends always go to events like this in London, I live too far away. They always have a great time

We also live far away, by several hundred miles. But it will be part of a bigger trip, just one day out of 5 or so in London :)
