I've just had the worst day of my life

I was on my way to work today. I had a phone call from my aunt. My dad has disappeared over Christmas. I have tried to contact daily. I knew in my heart something was wrong.

My family found him today. He is dead. The situation was fucking awful.

I have to put on my big girl pants and deal with the most awful thing ever. This was unexpected and horrific.

I'm so sorry for your loss @razorboy, an unexpected death is horrific. Be kind with yourself, cry as and when and wherever you need to, and take it one day at a time, and if that feels overwhelming, an hour at a time. 💐

Echo that a good funeral director will talk you through most things that need doing. When my dad died suddenly they rang almost every day to see how things were going.

I'm so sorry OP. We went through the same thing with FIL. We couldn't get hold of him so went looking and found him. It was the most awful time I can remember.
It won't always be so awful though. Surround yourself with people you love and take one day at a time. Flowers

Sorry to hear about your loss💐. Please look after yourself, it’s very easy and natural to let the event take over but it’s very important to look after your emotional well-being as well.
It is no doubt an awful time but please remember this too shall pass...use this forum to talk,vent or scream if you need
