Just trying to make sense of things. Is it me or smoking weed is not normal? I am fed up of this excuse to the point, where I think I need some reconfirmation , to make sure I am not the only one thinking that.

As I said the only people I KNOW. If I don’t know they do it then I can’t say the local business man making millions smokes it can I.

I’ve never personally seen any of my family or friends that hold down steady jobs and not getting cut off for not paying bills smoking it or smelling of it.

Doesn’t make my personal experience rubbish however just because you don’t agree with it.

Im a medical marijuana patient, and smoke in the evening when I know I.dont need to drive.
It's totally normal, civilized, and quite popular in legal states. I go to a very nice dispensary (all handblown glass jars, lovely driftwood counters, very lovely staff), buy organic landrace non skunky indica, and never feel like its seedy.

I dont get the problem at all. Its medicine, non addictive, great anti inflammatory, good painkiller, and unlike alcohol the only danger is to.a bag of cheetos.

Please don't toke and drive and ruin it for us responsible users!

I don't know anyone that uses it. And I have a very large number of friends in different professions, hobbies etc. I know three people who did occasionally when younger.

No, again, its not that you don't know anyone that uses it. It's that you are not aware of anyone you know using it. If you really have a very large number of friends then you absolutely know people who use it, you just don't know about it.

You should meet my total stoner colleagues! We work at a Fortune 500 company (and, no, we don't all flip burgers at McDonald's - as a matter of fact, many of us are managers).

And, no, of course, we're not all constantly high, we're responsible and together. We're all high earners and many of us have families. And you'd probably much rather have one of us taking care of your business than one of the cokeheads. Now, these guys scare me - mostly due to the recklessness caused by their overconfidence. Wouldn't touch that shit with a barge pole!

None of my friends even smoke cigarettes so weed definitely isn't "normal". Only people I've met who smoke weed are students or older people still doing it have been drop outs. But I guess that's just my experience.

Only one of my friends smokes, so smoking weed just doesn't happen in my circle of friends.

Why is it anyone elses business if someone uses cannabis? Would it being legal in your area make a difference to how you perceive users?

Well all the people I know who weed up use them. Of course I can't take their pictures as they are all too busy mugging people and neglecting their kids to pose.

LeatherBatWings, can I ask how people are helped where you are if weed causes them or exacerbates mental health problems? Genuinely curious as I can't see the person I know getting better anytime soon.

I actively choose not to associate with weed smokers (unless they have a medical reason for use) or any recreational drug users in fact. I hate the way weed has become normalised. If you disagree you are "boring". And yes I think the same about tobacco smokers, but thankfully that isn't cool any more.

Anyway plenty of non weed users have bad teeth!
Its the only medicine that helps me.

Ive not known anyone to have mental health problems triggered by pot.
Ive known a few with existing probs who self medicated, and pot was blamed.
People need to leave the skunk alone.
