If anyone has any evidence to convince me otherwise please do enlighten me, thanks in advance.

JAPAB - just a penis and balls.

Anyway saying ‘all women over 18 are entitled to cervical screening every 5 years’ is easy. Everyone who was born with a vagina and cervix knows that they are included.
If you say ‘cis-women are entitled to cervical screening’ then transmen might think it doesn’t include them as they are transmen and not cis-women.

Ereshkigal · 30/12/2017 20:30

Simon, that is it! I will wonder no more what it stands for Grin

PencilsInSpace · 30/12/2017 22:32

japab knows this won't affect him. He is just indulging in little intellectual masturbation. At the expense of women.

Yup. He likes farting around with language in a 'clever' way and delights in trying to tie us up in knots over it. Of course it's total bullshit because sex is material reality which has existed for millions of years longer than language.

It must be nice to be in a position to wank around with language in the comfortable knowledge that none of this will affect you.

PencilsInSpace · 30/12/2017 22:41

The important thing is that people get the healthcare they need. Mystifying the language around who needs what is a very bad idea that will lead to people's health suffering. Most people don't have a gender studies degree and will struggle to reverse-engineer the pomo bullshit newspeak.

hungryhippo90 · 30/12/2017 22:49

Fuck no.

JAPAB · 30/12/2017 22:50

Ereshkigal This is a misogynist enjoying forcing a label on women against our will.

And nobody else here would impose unwanted labels on people, would they Grin

Not that I am actually doing this, of course. Well, not unless you count the "non trans" qualifier as a label.

SimonBridges · 30/12/2017 22:58

Oh fuck off now.

You know we are talking about the label of ‘cis’, the ‘non-trans’ qualifier.
You are just trying to wind us all up.

Alisvolatpropiis · 30/12/2017 23:00

Glad I’m not the only one who knows Japab is a trolling cunt

Scabbersley · 30/12/2017 23:02

Lol @japab

Is he thick or what?

fizzthecat1 · 30/12/2017 23:03

He was accused to rape numerous times and reported to police before he killed Holly & Jessica. That's probably why he wants access to a womens prison.

JAPAB · 30/12/2017 23:04

You know we are talking about the label of ‘cis’, the ‘non-trans’ qualifier.

What in my response makes you think I didn't know that that is what was meant?

tinytemper66 · 30/12/2017 23:04

If he has a penis he is a man not a woman.

HolgerDanske · 30/12/2017 23:05

Yawn. So utterly tedious. It must take a particularly pedestrian man to find his jollies doing this sort of thing. What an idiotic waste of time.

Maryz · 30/12/2017 23:12

The definition, JAPAB?

If you can't answer, why not say so?

JAPAB · 30/12/2017 23:14

Yawn. So utterly tedious. It must take a particularly pedestrian man to find his jollies doing this sort of thing. What an idiotic waste of time.

Or somebody who just notes motes and beams.

Such as people who want to impose unwanted labels such as "man" pr "woman" on people complaining about someone else doing this (even though they weren't).

Or people who would no doubt complain of "online abuse" if a trans person was to get heated in a discussion and call them thick, a cunt, tell them to fuck off, etc.

JAPAB · 30/12/2017 23:19

He was accused to rape numerous times and reported to police before he killed Holly & Jessica. That's probably why he wants access to a womens prison.

I'd actually forgotten about Huntley for a while. 'AIBU to think that Ian Huntley is most definitely not a woman?'

Since he neither has an XX chromosome, nor is there sufficient evidence to say that he identifies as a woman, then no matter what your ideology, the answer is no. There, thread done.

SimonBridges · 30/12/2017 23:27

nor is there sufficient evidence to say that he identifies as a woman

And this is the very nub of the problem.
What is sufficient evidence?
How can anyone prove what is going on in someone else’s mind?
As we can’t we just have to ‘take it on faith’.

Maryz · 30/12/2017 23:35

He's asking to use the word Lian and to be referred to as "she" and "her". What more does he have to do to be a woman, JAPAB?

Since Lily Madigan is now recognised as a woman by the Labour Party and all she has done is informally changed her name and asked to be referred to as "she" and "her".

Absolutely the same.

No definition? No way of describing the group of people who are currently called women?

SimonBridges · 30/12/2017 23:47

Exactly, Maryz
Either it’s is self identification ‘I now want to be called a female name and use female pronouns’.
Or it’s spending a large amount of time ‘living as a woman’ (I have so many fucking issues with that it’s untrue, honestly, like wearing sling backs and mascara is the only difference between me and a man), having hormone treatment, therapy etc.

It seems now that all is required is the former.

From hence forth I with to be called Ken and I will wear trousers and, a shirt and tie.
I’m off to earn twice my wage, not have to worry about contraception, sexual assault or periods.
If only I’d known it was that easy.

JAPAB · 31/12/2017 00:08

And this is the very nub of the problem.
What is sufficient evidence?

Someone says it. It is not unreasonable to not think someone with an Xy chromosome is not a woman when they themselves have made no claim to be one (assuming this assertion made earlier in this thread is correct). No their word of their gender cannot be proven. Some things are like that, like sexuality.

Ereshkigal · 31/12/2017 01:32

Yawn. So utterly tedious. It must take a particularly pedestrian man to find his jollies doing this sort of thing. What an idiotic waste of time.

Yes, I think you've rather got his number.

Maryz · 31/12/2017 03:48

Definition, JAPAB?

Are you ignoring me by any chance?

Lovesagin · 31/12/2017 08:06

"A person with a penis (who could be man, woman, black, white, bisexual, heterosexual, etc. etc.) meets a person with a vagina (ditto) and they get it on"

I know you don't actually believe this you silly sausage. As a hint when people clock on to the wind up its best to slowly withdraw otherwise you overkill it and there's a danger that nothing you say will be taken seriously again ever. Oh hang on a sec......

JAPAB · 31/12/2017 09:42

I know you don't actually believe this you silly sausage.

I suspect that you only find it difficult to believe because you are unable to distinguish between sex and gender. So you are reading it as something like "a person with a (natal) penis (who could have an XX or an XY chromosome)..." which would be incorrect, independently of any semantics or ideology. And of course something not even trans people themselves believe, let alone trans-friendly folk.

CuriousaboutSamphire · 31/12/2017 11:13

Fuck! So JAPAB... you say, honestly apparently, that there is A MAN OUT THER SOMEWHERE for whom cervical cancer screening is essential!

Given that there are many transmen (natal females) I suppose you are right, given the self indulgent tautological twaddle you are spouting.

But, as they will have been offered screening as women they will not be taking away opportunities and funding for a service that identifies a cancer that kills women. Now, you identify for me a natal man, living as a woman, for whom that is true!

I know you won't, as you have failed to define 'woman'.

But it would be interesting if you would stop your Willy Waving for a millisecond and, just perhaps, mull over your participation here:

WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?

WHAT DO YOU GET OUT OF IT?

DO YOU LIKE WHO THAT MAKES YOU?
