What age did you stop DC coming in your bed?

Title explains it really!

I've been called weird, my eldest son - nearly 5, will sometimes stay in with me, very rarely. Also my youngest (1) when he is poorly will come in my bed.

Is it time to stop them? I feel really stupid posting this but know I'll get the truth here.
Was really upset last night after several comments about it.

My dd aged 5. My 2 3/4 YO ds has just started the other day. It's like the penny has dropped and he has only just realised there's nothing stopping him leaving his bedroom. Shame thought I'd got away with it with him.

situp I think as long as everyone gets the sleep they need, you should do whatever works for you.

I totally agree with this.

When my first baby was born he was on the small side ( 5 lb 12 oz) he was healthy but a little small. We lived in a big but cold home. THe first night home I tucked him up as best I could in his cot but he felt cold to the touch and could not settle. I had never even heard of co sleeping. But I was breastfeeding and it seemed the most natural thing in the world to take him into bed, warm him up and feed him warm breastmilk.

Honestly, it doesn't bother me, not likely to happen when they're grown up lol!! DS is 5 and often sleeps or sneaks in with us or his sister who is 9. DD loves snuggling up with me if DH in nights or just sometimes she wants to and DH sometimes carries her through to her Room when he comes to bed

F*ck other people, I used to go in to my moms bed for a cuddle in the morning in my teens! I still would now! Nothing better than a mom cuddle!

My single DS(ister) lives next door to my parents. When my dad goes away for work she goes and stays to keep my mum company. They knit/crochet in bed whilst watching box sets. DS is 37 Xmas Grin
My DC at 8, 5 and 1 all bedshare with someone overnight.

I have a 12 year old who also sometimes goes into my bed when he's feeling ill or too tired.
It doesn't help that he insisted on having a bunk bed and has to climb some steps to get there. Hmm
Physically he's still very immature, so I expect he will grow out of it soon. I'm single as well, so he has a whole side of a king size bed to sleep on. I hardly notice he's there most of the time.

My 10 year old DS sleeps in my bed every night.

Hasn't slept in his own bed since 2015! Though even then he only slept in his bed once every few months.

Sharing a bed is totally normal. Comfort and warmth are good things. Sometimes it's a sharing with another adult, sometimes it's with a child, sometimes both. It's all good.
