AIBU to have made this terrifying edible replica of my beautiful baby nephew?

Last year I made them a tiny marzipan model of their dog to adorn the Christmas cake and it went down a treat.

So why don't they appreciate this?!

(light hearted (I hope obviously!) and yes, I do have permission for the photo)

Holy crap. This is so League of Gentlemen. Can't stop looking at the edible baby demon.

I laughed and screamed in equal measure. There are no words other than genuis.

Are the eyeballs those silver edible balls? The way they protude...and that tongue.

Best laugh I've had all Christmas. I'm shocking at baking so in awe of your skills.

Surely no-one actually enjoys eating marzipan? It's sole purpose is to be used to create small unsettling replicas of one's friends, family and dogs as far as I'm concerned.

And it's been my pleasure to share. I'm just glad that those hours (yes, hours!) toiling away, getting all sticky and frustrated were not spent in vain.

It's fabulous! You are a Star

Chchchchangeabout · 26/12/2017 23:13

Wow! Gollum is your nephew? Can I get an autograph?

MrsBobDylan · 26/12/2017 23:22

It's really big...I think something a little smaller could have softened the innate creepyness of your creation. You must have spent a fortune on marzipan. Bless you though, for trying. It's cheered me right up.

EnidButton · 27/12/2017 18:07

I'd be scared of it if it knew where I lived. I have to assume that it doesn't though

I wouldn't be too sure doctor, it looks like it knows things.

maykmi · 27/12/2017 18:53

No-one has been able to stomach the thought of the demon baby cake so I gave in, swallowed my artistic pride and removed the head.

It's a good thing it looks totally cute and un-scary now it's falling apart and not attached to a cake right? Grin

You've created the love child of Grins Wormtongue, Gollum and Regan from the Exorcist...

UnderslungBowlingBall · 27/12/2017 19:12

*Grima, autocorrect fail...

maykmi · 27/12/2017 19:17

well what could be more Christmassy and appetising than the thought of eating that trio?

doctorcuntybollocks · 27/12/2017 20:12

Freed from its cake-tether, it can now slither its way through our letterboxes. How reassuring.

TacoFlavouredKisses · 27/12/2017 20:17

😂😂😂

It looks so like Chucky!! (The terrifying marzipan - absolutely not your gorgeous nephew!)

Noofly · 27/12/2017 20:23

You have a real talent for making scary baby heads!

slothface · 27/12/2017 20:36

Hahahahaha! This is wondrous. You are a genius at gargoyle-nephew cakes

MissDuke · 27/12/2017 20:39

I kind of think it is like a shrek-Dom combo. Definitely a special talent op!
