AIBU to have made this terrifying edible replica of my beautiful baby nephew?

Last year I made them a tiny marzipan model of their dog to adorn the Christmas cake and it went down a treat.

So why don't they appreciate this?!

(light hearted (I hope obviously!) and yes, I do have permission for the photo)

Unfortunately all my other work is actual art- boring old drawing and oil paintings! This thread is making me reconsider my medium of choice- art should make people smile and monstrous marzipan baby heads are obviously smile inducing.

D’you know what, though, if you ignore the weird balls for eyes thing, I actually think it’s really good. I can imagine anything I attempted would have been a hundred times worse!

That's amazing!!! I've thought of a sideline for you: can you do similar with sand? Set up a stall at a beach next summer and make people's kids look like happy Gollums - I guarantee you'll make a fortune Grin

I like the idea of making people pay to have me turn their babies into demon sand monsters! Maybe it could be sort of cathartic on days when kids are really misbehaving...
