Last year I made them a tiny marzipan model of their dog to adorn the Christmas cake and it went down a treat.

So why don't they appreciate this?!

Seriously though it looks like one of those 3d scan pictures. So glad that technology wasn't around the last time I was pregnant.

You just need to add more head. You've done the face a bit too big in proportion so it's lost the baby cuteness and just looks scary.

Fuck, this reminded me. A few years ago BIL painted DS and sent it to us as a birthday surprise.
It looked like a jaundiced Chucky. It was hideous. BIL said to give it to MIL if we didn't want it, but we slipped with white spirit and a scraper..
I shudder thinking about that image.

I do feel a bit bad. I got their hopes up with last year's creation when I made their dog and it was genuinely quite realistic and sweet. Turns out whippets are more easily carvable than baby heads.
