Came across this article in the Mirror just now (Sorry, it's another Meghan one) where she says Prince Michael of Kent wore a 'racist' brooch when meeting her.

www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/meghan-markle-greeted-racist-jewellery-11736477

General consensus from the comments suggest she knew exactly what she was doing. I don't know anything about her to know if it's suspect but it seems an odd thing to own let alone wear in public. What's the jury?

Also, is Michael an actual name for a woman, I've never heard of it before

But RJ - it's just not appropriate, what was she even thinking when she put it on in the first place? It's lunch with the Queen, there are pics in the paper every year so if I were invited (fat chance) I'd be making sure I looked absolutely perfect, knowing I'd be photographed and people would be talking about it. It's like me pitching up at parents' evening, where I know I'll be with lots of people who know me, wearing a Robertson's golly badge on my jumper.

k2p2k2tog · 22/12/2017 13:31

Also, I'm sure I read that Lady Helen, daughter of the nice Duchess Kent was a favourite of the Queen's.

SheGotBetteDavisEyes · 22/12/2017 13:34

Her expression in the car looks as though she knows exactly what she's doing. Awful. I'm hoping that Harry raises hell privately about it.

Spudlet · 22/12/2017 13:42

Eueugh, what a witch. I suppose they'll have to invite her to the wedding, but lets hope she gets seated behind a pillar, and at a tsble next to the loos. Nasty piece of work.

trixymalixy · 22/12/2017 13:49

Ugh, how hideous. She has made a very deliberate choice to wear that brooch. Utterly shameful.

RJnomore1 · 22/12/2017 13:52

Oh I agree k2 I was just hoping perhaps Meghan wasn't faced with it in person.

TrickOrRuddyTreat · 22/12/2017 14:01

I hope if she was she went all MN - 'did you mean to be so racist rude?'

MissionItsPossible · 22/12/2017 14:03

Grin Or look at her and ask "Are you on glue"? (Tinkly little laugh optional)

OP posts:
TrickOrRuddyTreat · 22/12/2017 14:06

MissionItsPossible I'm pretty sure the tinkly laugh is compulsory Grin

Spudlet · 22/12/2017 14:09

'What an interesting brooch. Was it out of a cracker?'

DullAndOld · 22/12/2017 14:10

" I hope if she was she went all MN - 'did you mean to be so racist rude?' "

I have no idea why this drippy question is touted about as a killer comeback on MN. Obviously the answer would be 'hell yes'..:)

ImtheChristmasCarcass · 22/12/2017 14:18

HM is a master of the 1000 yard stare so can't you just see the look on HM's face if/when she got a gander of Princess Pushy's 'accessory'?

Of course PPushy is so thick and up her own arse that she wouldn't care.

Hollywood is full of institutionalized racism. This won't be the first time she was faced with something like this. She can handle it. I'll bet Harry wanted to give PPushy a few choice words, though.

ImtheChristmasCarcass · 22/12/2017 14:19

'she' in my final paragraph being Meghan.

Splinterz · 22/12/2017 14:21

Do you mind me asking where you all met Princess Michael, to know her views so intimately?

DullAndOld · 22/12/2017 14:24

you don't need to meet someone who thinks a fancy golly badge suitable for such a lunch and makes that repulsive face when being photographed with it, frankly, to make a judgment.
She has been judged and found wanting..:)

VladmirsPoutine · 22/12/2017 14:28

@Splinterz I can't say I know that much about her but quite a while back she was reported, for example, to have told some black patrons to 'go back to the colonies'.
So though I can't claim to have ever had a chat with her I reckon anyone that uses such language probably isn't going to be manning a stall at a Black History month fete.

mrsBeverleyGoldberg · 22/12/2017 14:29

I'm so naive I thought the jewellery would be because she's not British. Unforgivable behaviour.

Eltonjohnssyrup · 22/12/2017 14:31

That is fucking horrible. And obviously intentional bitch.

Eltonjohnssyrup · 22/12/2017 14:35

Do you know what? She is a fucking mug. Her and Prince Michael have only been allowed to stay at Kensington Palace on sufferance and very reluctantly. They even sold their country home so that they could plead homelessness.

That's it. She's done now, fucked. The Queen is going to boot her out and they can kiss goodbye to royal duties.

SnowFairyDust · 22/12/2017 14:38

Shock whatever it represents it's an absolutely horrible brooch!!

Eltonjohnssyrup · 22/12/2017 14:39

Do you mind me asking where you all met Princess Michael, to know her views so intimately?

I bet in the eighties and nineties you were one of these people dismissing reports of trouble in the Wales' marriage as tabloid fiction.

Backingvocals · 22/12/2017 14:41

Years ago I got bustled out of a posh cheese shop in london as she was coming in and wanted to shop in private Hmm.

GingerbreadMa · 22/12/2017 14:43

That look on her face! Like she cant wait for it to all kick off: what a solid stone bitch!

RavingRoo · 22/12/2017 14:43

This is probably the final nail in her coffin. Expect not to see her or her husband in public again (not that they do much of anything).

SilverDoe · 22/12/2017 14:45

Disgraceful, incredibly spiteful. What an embarrassment, she should be ashamed. Although going by her track record I'm sure she's positively gleeful that everyone has noticed and made a thing of it.
