That it’s a bit weird when men post on this forum?

I get the times where a male might use Mumsnet for some female perspective on things like relationship problems. But I find it weird when men post on random topics. For example there was one about chocolate bars recently and a man was on there talking about what he likes and what his wife likes. Is there not a male equivalent forum?

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with wanting a woman or man only forum, maybe you should start one OP?

DoctorTwo · 22/12/2017 17:17

If men were banned who would start the Pokemon Go threads?

Indigo911 · 22/12/2017 17:18

I don’t know how admin would monitor whether any males are using the site or not. Men could easily pretend to be women on here if they were banned

Sparklingbrook · 22/12/2017 17:19

Do people still do Pokemon Go? Confused

53rdWay · 22/12/2017 17:22

No, not at all.

At least it would stop the "Man here" and "I'm a bloke and..." bollocks.

specialsubject · 22/12/2017 18:12

Do we have a superior breeder here?

Does your superiority cover only those who don't want kids, or those who do but can't?

TheDowagerCuntess · 22/12/2017 18:19

I like the fact that it's predominantly women here - it gives it a very distinct tone that I've never come across anywhere else.

No issue with men posting here - some of them seem reasonable. I used to post on Handbag and the men there were, for the most part, complete douches. I can't imagine any man I know in real life hanging out here, but fair play to those who do.

OhLittleBoreOfWhabylon · 22/12/2017 18:21

@Lweji -not the same forum then. The one I was thinking of (also fab, also long gone) was radio-based.

Weezol · 22/12/2017 18:32

Chelle - I may not be a mum, but l have one.

DoctorTwo · 22/12/2017 19:29

Yes Sparkers, plenty of us play. It's fun and we get virtual rewards for taking exersise. What's not to like? I've met some great people through the game, hopefully some of them will become good friends.

Rossigigi · 22/12/2017 19:34

Doesn't matter if someone is male or female or trans gender, Rich or poor, black or white or pink with polka spots, parent or childless.
It's an anonymous forum for individuals to talk, vent and support each other.

Lweji · 22/12/2017 19:38

@OhLittleBoreOfWhabylon

Actually, now that I'm at my computer and could check the fossilised pages, it is orange(y).

The problem (mentioned about 1000000 times before) is how to check. DNA tests? Photos of genitalia? Grin

OhLittleBoreOfWhabylon · 22/12/2017 19:42

I'm talking of the late, lamented BBC Archers messageboard, Lweji. It was known as Mustardland because of the colour.

There were quite a few men there but more women.

NotACleverName · 22/12/2017 19:44

Hell yeah, I've got Skitty(s) to catch!

I'm neither a mum nor a man. I stick around for the CF threads tbh.

And what would we all do without piglet John?
I hope you don't mean me :-)

My teens were into it 2 years ago v briefly, I presumed it was old hat now. Shock

RespoDad · 22/12/2017 20:34

Strange? Moi? Well, third time lucky 😜👅

Sparklingbrook · 22/12/2017 20:39

Close...

There was also a Parenting Board. About 99.9% female.

FloControl · 22/12/2017 20:42

Male and childless and here to stay. Any opponents may sit and swivel.

EvilDoctorBallerinaRoastDuck · 22/12/2017 20:44

YABU. Some of the wittiest people on here are men.

Oh two years is nothing. I’m probably playing some games that were around before your teens were born!
