After reading another thread where there are some ladies who said they don't have children, don't want them and haven't tried..

What made you come to a parenting website?

I understand those who have tried or can't have children etc. - NOT a hate thread, genuinely wondering x

My sister talked a lot about Mumsnet and I was curious, so started reading regularly when I was in this position. I didn't feel I should post at the time as I wasn't the target member of the site so it was mostly reading and limited posting. I do have a ds now and I am glad that I've used Mumsnet when TTC, going through pregnancy and postnatally. It's been great :)

Just because someone doesnt have kids doesnt mean they cant use mumsnet. Theres many sections that arent about kids on this site... style and beauty, cars, celebrity news to name a few

The name is hugely important. Men and non-mothers come to a site centred about female experience:where else does that happen?

I was looking for a very pale foundation, and Mumsnet recommended one on a Google search. The foundation was crap, but I got reading the threads and found them very amusing. I also came across threads on OCD and health anxiety, which I have, and found it useful, invaluble even.
I read AIBU, Chat and the Litter Tray. I dont read the pregnancy/baby/more child focused forums as they are irrelevant to my life and dont interest/affect me.
I know Mumsnet is predominantly a parents website, but I like to think there is room for childless women who just like to read other's opinions.

I came here quite by accident well before I had a baby, found aibu to be hysterical and entertaining so I came back and back. Now I’ve got a 3 month old so also visit the sleep/feeding/baby forums on here but go back to aibu for general lolz.
