Anyone remember the Flexi-time CF?

Thought I'd heard the last of her but unfortunately not. Colleague who left her job due to cheeky fuckery with her flexi-time for those of you who missed the first instalment.

I'm moving between fuming, embarrassed and incredulous at the moment. I've also laughed but I think that's shock more than anything Smile
DH and I were out for the afternoon at a Christmas market. Had a lovely day and stopped at an coffee shop with tables outside before coming home.
We'd been there about 10 minutes when I noticed a group of ladies in their 60's a few tables away and one of them was staring straight at me. I didn't recognise her and carried on with chatting with DH. I noticed her again when all her friends started turning round to have a look. I didn't know any of them.
I'm starting to think she may be someone I'd been in contact with in a work capacity as she is looking quite angry. As I said in the original thread I work with children/families and I have been approached by people previously who have been angry and upset. Only a couple of times though.
I continue to ignore it and we're getting ready to leave. DH goes inside to pay and use the loo and the minute he does this lady gets up and comes over, with her takeaway coffee cup in her hand. I can tell by her face it's not going to be a pleasant chat.
She asks if I'm pleased with myself and I say "I'm sorry, I don't know who you are". She says she's FTCF's mother and who do I think I am to refuse her daughter a reference! Do I realise I've ruined her career and I should be ashamed of myself. Everyone is looking now and I don't want to get into it so I just say she really doesn't have all the information.
She then takes the lid off her coffee and empties it into my fucking handbag on the table and walks off!!!!
I'm absolutely gobsmacked Shock
I'm home now and want to call FTCF and give her a mouthful but DH is trying to talk me out of it.
Maybe I should just have a large G&T Gin

Is her husband Gollum? Missing his precious ring?

SchadenfreudePersonified · 12/12/2017 16:33

This thread just gets better and better. Grin

AhhhhThatsBass · 12/12/2017 16:39

Ahem, I've spent the last 45 minutes (sitting at work) catching up on the last 24 hours' updates and realised that I myself am no better than the FTCF.

Xmas Blush

PS when did the Christmas emoji option appear?

AlpacaPicnic · 12/12/2017 16:41

DooRight Shock

Grin
GreenTulips · 12/12/2017 17:35

Who actually walks up to a total stranger and empties their coffee into their handbag?? Batshit!

Agree, this behaviour should be limited to friends and family only!

Kevintheminion · 12/12/2017 18:23

Report it. I say that from bitter experience - my situation escalated and I regret not reporting the initial issues which, taken in isolation, appeared trivial but escalated into a very nasty experience.

PrincessFiorimonde · 12/12/2017 18:25

Read both threads today (not at work, I hasten to add). Hope that's the last you see or hear of CF and her mother, OP.

Abouttoblow · 12/12/2017 18:44

Hi Lovely People
Today's instalment will never top last night's extravaganza.
Further meeting today with managers. Some of you were right. Although they would have been happier if I'd mentioned the reference request as soon as it happened, I'm not in any trouble. I was genuinely concerned about that so it comes as a huge relief.
There will be developments on this front and (again sorry) because of the job I won't be posting anything else about the job/Organisation. I'm sure you'll all understand that.
I will OF COURSE update on anything from the FTCF or CFCF (coffee-flinging cheeky fucker).
I'm sending out genuine thanks to all of you for the support (and belly laughs). You kept me sane Flowers
I'm now going through last night's gems as I feel they deserve some recognition Grin

Good show About - I don't know whether to hope for CF updates or not. They are so gobsmacking they are brilliant, but it means that you are getting stress from her.

Anyway - have a great Christmas, enjoy your new lovely baby when s/he arrives, and just put CF and her ghastly mother out of you mind.

Abouttoblow · 12/12/2017 19:09

Thanks Schaden
I'm not expecting a new arrival, unless CFCF throws one at me Grin
Made me laugh though.

That's great about.. I was hoping you wouldn't get into trouble.

Can I ask though - are your employers dumbfounded by what they are dealing with? What are their reactions.
I just think it's so unbelievable what this lady has put everyone through.

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 12/12/2017 19:20

Do you know if you order a takeaway coffee from Costa, and use your own reusable mug (from waitrose) you get 25p off the price?
Not sure if this applies to taking your coffee to go in a handbag

HiggeldyPiggeldy · 12/12/2017 19:23

glad you reported this and that you are not in any trouble with work, sadly I'm sure you wont hear any more from CF or CFCF after the police visit, would have loved to have been a fly on the wall at the bridge party

HiggeldyPiggeldy · 12/12/2017 19:24

I will miss the updates, thats why its sad not because of the hassle it causes you

Abouttoblow · 12/12/2017 19:28

Mum I think it has been shocking for them, although the audit just before she left did go ahead so they knew the extent of her piss taking. The mentioned that today but not any detail.

Traffig · 12/12/2017 19:29

Glad all ok on the employer front OP. Flowers

I'd suggest that you take that big handbag from out the front of your jumper though.
We know you are hiding it in case of further events - but it's got Schaden all confused.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 12/12/2017 19:43

Although they would have been happier if I'd mentioned the reference request as soon as it happened, I'm not in any trouble. I was genuinely concerned about that so it comes as a huge relief

I'm very pleased for you, about, but not entirely surprised; clearly your managers can see the difference between someone who genuinely didn't think to mention something at the time and someone else who's acted maliciously

And now you've mentioned that the audit took place before CF left, I can't help wondering what was really said to her ...

SchadenfreudePersonified · 12/12/2017 19:47

Ooooh! Sorry about that About you must just be fat I don't know why I thought you were expecting.

I'm obviously going even dafter as I get older Grin

kaytee87 · 12/12/2017 19:49

Are you thinking of the thread where the lady pregnant with twins is being bullied by her colleagues?

Abouttoblow · 12/12/2017 19:49

These are some of the reasons MNetters are the best Grin
