Anyone remember the Flexi-time CF?

Thought I'd heard the last of her but unfortunately not. Colleague who left her job due to cheeky fuckery with her flexi-time for those of you who missed the first instalment.

I'm moving between fuming, embarrassed and incredulous at the moment. I've also laughed but I think that's shock more than anything Smile
DH and I were out for the afternoon at a Christmas market. Had a lovely day and stopped at an coffee shop with tables outside before coming home.
We'd been there about 10 minutes when I noticed a group of ladies in their 60's a few tables away and one of them was staring straight at me. I didn't recognise her and carried on with chatting with DH. I noticed her again when all her friends started turning round to have a look. I didn't know any of them.
I'm starting to think she may be someone I'd been in contact with in a work capacity as she is looking quite angry. As I said in the original thread I work with children/families and I have been approached by people previously who have been angry and upset. Only a couple of times though.
I continue to ignore it and we're getting ready to leave. DH goes inside to pay and use the loo and the minute he does this lady gets up and comes over, with her takeaway coffee cup in her hand. I can tell by her face it's not going to be a pleasant chat.
She asks if I'm pleased with myself and I say "I'm sorry, I don't know who you are". She says she's FTCF's mother and who do I think I am to refuse her daughter a reference! Do I realise I've ruined her career and I should be ashamed of myself. Everyone is looking now and I don't want to get into it so I just say she really doesn't have all the information.
She then takes the lid off her coffee and empties it into my fucking handbag on the table and walks off!!!!
I'm absolutely gobsmacked Shock
I'm home now and want to call FTCF and give her a mouthful but DH is trying to talk me out of it.
Maybe I should just have a large G&T Gin

That post is brilliant About! Made me laugh out loud and nearly wake my children! Mommy obviously doesn't know about whistleblowing and the fact that we actually have a duty to report fraud in the public sector, and FTCF was defrauding her employer. This really is the post that keeps giving. I am sorry for the upset you've had to go through though.

Mommyto2gorgeousgirls, the CF (or is that you?) is a lying cheat and her mother is a demented loon, and they are both going to get into serious trouble now. The OP did absolutely nothing wrong.

I'm sure you'd also feel that way if your GP or practice nurse couldn't fit your child in for an emergency appointment because they were busy getting their hair cut... or your child's teacher couldn't make parents evening or write school reports because they prioritised their precious park time with their snowflake... or your MP didn't make it to parliament to vote on something that would directly affect you... Or your taxes were wasted on flippant extravagances instead of collecting your rubbish. Bully bullshit. You're as clueless as CF Mommy.

When you say "bridge club" do you mean they were discovered holding a deck of cards? You can't imagine the mother of someone who thinks sentace is a word being able to grasp bridge.

I work for the local government and I see it as responsibility to flag things up it's the public purse as in tax payers money.

Predictive text often changes words. I'm sure non of you perfect people have ever had that happen though. The op needent have got involved in the first place, therefore this whole thing would not have happened. She didn't want to waste tax payers money, then makes a song and dance to the police about coffee in a bag. I mean come on. She sounds like woman I have come across at work. Sitting on they're computers internet shopping half the day & gossiping about other employees the rest. And the cf's mother didn't even know she had instigated the whole work thing

Mommy, the CF is a skiving cheat who asked the OP to lie for her (and also stupid - as if human resources wouldn't have found out).

Then her lunatic mother felt obliged to assault her because "she had ruined her daughter's career". No, her daughter ruined her own career by not working and lying about her references.

I imagine that you have similar ethics, though.
