My instinct tells me that 45 is .....considering his position. I think he's fed up.

Keep an eye on Pence's movements.

AcrossthePond55 · 14/12/2017 16:05

From your lips to God's ears, cozie

I really dislike Pence and his views, but I still say that he would at least behave in a dignified manner and not go out of his way to antagonize the people and leaders of other countries. I also think he would know when to NOT push his ultra-conservative agenda.

Unpalatable video highlights of Moore not conceding.
Certainly seems aimed at evangelical Christians?

So relieved he lost. So horrified that he came so close.

Paul Ryan Sees His Wild Washington Journey Coming to An End

Someone on another thread mentioned the US evangelical Christian belief that declaring Jerusalem the capital will bring about the apocalypse and the second coming of Christ. They're all in favour of a massive war in the Holy Land.Sad

This explains a bit:

For many evangelicals, Jerusalem is about prophecy, not politics
edition.cnn.com/2017/12/08/opinions/jerusalem-israel-evangelicals-end-times-butler-bass-opinion/index.html?iid=ob_article_footer_expansion

But God still loved the Jews, he told us, and wanted to redeem them. Thus, absent the church, the Jews would experience a great religious rebirth and rebuild their temple in Jerusalem. This would spark a series of cataclysmic events that would culminate in the Battle of Armageddon, the last war of humanity. But it would also cause the Jews to finally accept Jesus as their savior. After all this occurred, Jesus would return in glory and God's kingdom -- a thousand-year reign of peace. And it would begin in Jerusalem.

Watching Roy Moore's reaction to his defeat takes me to what Trump would have done if he had lost.

Meanwhile,

"The president’s very committed to the Middle East peace process," Rex Tillerson said at a news conference t.co/ulcL3k88KE

I think he said pieces and they misunderstood it.

PerkingFaintly · 14/12/2017 18:02

I also noticed an obviously troll post in the comments to that article, by the poster called "cazuk" (I won't hand out a troll's charter by explaining how I can tell, but most of you will spot it too.)

Anyway, it uses a very old, Christian, anti-semitic trope to try to stir hatred against Jewish people.

So Trump's announcement is offering wins all round for Russian(?) disruptors.

'Intentional' event redirects cloud traffic from Apple, Google & others through Russia

appleinsider.com/articles/17/12/14/intentional-event-redirects-cloud-traffic-from-apple-google-others-through-russia/amp/?__twitter_impression=true

Internet traffic coming into and out of Apple, Facebook, Google, Microsoft, and other companies was briefly redirected through a Russian provider on Wednesday, in what appears to have been a deliberate move.

The incident involved the Border Gateway Protocol, or BGP, which funnels high-level traffic through nodes like internet backbones, according to Ars Technica, citing reports by monitoring services BGPMon and Qrator Labs. BGPMon recorded two three-minute hijacks, affecting 80 address blocks in total. Qrator Labs said the incident spanned two hours, with the number of address blocks fluctuating between 40 and 80.

Some reasons for suspicion include the prominence of the impacted companies, and the fact that IP addresses were split into smaller blocks than those announced by the companies -- something that doesn't normally happen with a BGP configuration error.

Ok, all. The FCC has voted to start rolling back #NetNeutrality. Here's what we do next.

First, recognize this is not unexpected. As I've been saying for weeks, the breakdown of the board suggested this would happen.

  1. First, understand that this is NOT the end. I've seen many, many tweets suggesting this vote is the death knell for the internet. That's simply not true.

Read the document I linked in this tweet. This won't happen overnight.

SHS was asked about Rubio's No. She said they've done so much to appease him and there should be no reason why his No isn't a Yes.

Roussette · 14/12/2017 19:25

I know net neutrality is unrestrained info via the internet but admit I don't really understand what it is they're trying to do. (except roll back something Obama did...)
