Now that her mum is no longer with her, which was the reason she never left. I just hope she finds people who will love her talent and appreciate it. It's being wasted and she will never get to her full potential. It's sad to watch and I don't think AIBU at all for thinking this.

Also Matt Cardle, another xfactor winner with an amazing voice.

Ironically, she's going to gain MASSIVELY from this.. Thanks to all the negative publicity.

Apart from Little Mix just who is still doing alright after Xfactor. I think most just get dropped/forgotten about. SC just uses them all, then drops them when it suits him.

Tickety he was urging people to get careless whisper to no. 1 and make it a charity record. That was his 'campaign'. It was the hypocrisy I couldn't stand as George hated The Sun and they published several shitty articles about him over the years. As for making CW a charity record - George had already given to charities, iirc Jesus to a child already gave profits away - and I felt it put Andrew Ridgeley in a difficult position (he was given co credit on that song). I think it was a crappy tabloid journalist's way of jumping on the bandwagon, creating content without skill and profiting from George's death whilst virtue signalling. Total hypocrite given his homophobia.

Anyway, I believe he's been waging a smear campaign against that girl Miss Burke.

His newspaper has been homophobic in the past - the rag that is the Sun. He has also been accused of outing people so is hardly a pillar of the gay community. and yes, I know he's gay but that doesn't mean isn't a complete and utter tool.

Haven't read the full thread but I have definitely noticed a really nasty smear campaign against her in the media..papers making up dubious stories about her etc. She seems a perfectly normal girl who's been through a hard time lately. Not sure why journos are picking on her. She must have upset the wrong person or something

I think this is classic tall poppy syndrome with added misogyny and racism. (And I say that as a white male.) Poor woman can’t win, she’s either seen as falsely modest or over-confident.

I might be slightly biased, I think she’s fabulous.
