Aibu to be really jealous of my dh and his family?

My dh has a large family on his side, he is the baby, The youngest of 5 children by 15 years! ( he was the shock at the end 😄).

His family are lovely and they have always been welcoming to me and made me feel at home BUT they are not my family they are his.

There are so many little issues I would love to be able to talk to someone about but I have no one. No family and no friends close enough to have those conversations with. I am feeling really really depressed lately and just find I am struggling with everyday life. My dh has also been down (we have had a hard few months) and his family are all over him offering him help with things, chatting to him, having phone calls. I have no one.

I am insanely jealous of the support he has and I know it's ridiculous it's not his fault! But every time we hit a bump in the road he is surrounded by people who care for him and I am standing alone.

I have tried to talk to him about this but he says I'm being ridiculous .

Aibu?

I still own 1/3rd of the company but they want me to give that up as well.

Give up, meaning they buy you out? That would need to be properly negotiated to get you a fair price, assuming you wanted to sell.

Give up, meaning just hand it over to them? No chance!

You need legal advice on this, not just family support. As already said, though, ask your DH's relatives for more help with the children so you can start to get your head clearer.

Your DH has been completely unreasonable re DC6 and giving no help at all with any of the children.

You put in £35 grand and the other director wants your name removed? Do not bloody think so, mate! Tell him you refuse to have your name taken off the director's list and what they have done is illegal as without your consent.

RunRabbitRunRabbit · 04/12/2017 19:27

They must have forged your signature!

Bastards. Utter bastards.

Sod talking to friends, you need to talk to a lawyer.

I'd start with the company accountant though. Innocent question pointing out an error on the returns: you haven't sold your shares to the others, would he please fix the error pronto.

MiraiDevant · 04/12/2017 19:30

Do not give up your shares! Get legal advice on the matter.

This is worrying. Poor you

DamsonGin · 04/12/2017 19:52

I'll going to echo everytime oh this, it sounds like you are getting screwed financially and should see a specialist lawyer.

And also, why the fuck does your dh think he can just give up responsibility for the children he co created? It doesn't sound like a healthy relationship, and sounds a million miles from a balances one.

OK you can go on Companies House website, type in your company name and it will show submissions and scanned forms to do with directorship and shareholder changes. It is free to look at this and easy to do. May be worth having a look just to see if everything is as you expect it to be or see if there is something not quite right.

OP not OK

Jaxhog · 04/12/2017 22:54

Oh joy! B&M do indeed stock smartie penguins. How did I not know this?
Shame they don't have a store near me, but I'm game for a little trip...

Jux · 04/12/2017 22:54

Check out the Companies House as GirlsBlouse says, and if there is one hair out of line straight on to the accountant asking about it. Meanwhile, make an appointment to see a lawyer, and if the accountant sorts everything out to your satisfaction, cancel it, but if you’re left with a scrap of doubt....

This will help your future and mist importantly, your children’s. Get things sorted now or you could be living in poverty, miserably, with an abusive liar.
