Cup of tea for 12yo

As the title suggests is this U?

My 12yo ds is on his way home from school and it's freezing, has snowed all day. He doesn't like hot chocolate. Want to make him a nice warm drink for when he gets in.

Apologies for the most mundane question ever.

My 12 and 10 year olds sadly don't like tea, I wish they did as they both make me a cup occasionally and would do it far more if they were making it for themselves....

However as it is they mainly drink water, which is healthy but largely down to lazyness Grin

"I don't know if he'd like it but it's a pretty inoffensive hot drink with milk and two sugars".

Two sugars?? Confused

If it's the caffeine you're worried about you could give him decaf?

My daughter is 13 months and won't touch whole milk - she'll only take breast milk direct from the source which is a hassle now I'm back at work. But she will take a sippy cup of decaf tea made with mostly whole milk and really really weak. Health visitor suggested it and she took right to it - makes her think she's a big girl because I make it in a mug then pour it in to her sippy. And its nice and warm on the cold winter mornings in the car to nursery.

On the "where did I leave my handbag" thing... There are umpteen twee "if you were my car keys, where would you hide?" threads every single week.

I had tea in a bottle from babyhood.

My DS is 11 and loves a cup of tea, he has one in the morning with his breakfast and then then sometimes another brew after his tea in the evening.

There's always " AIBU to ask where is my " threads on MN. Usually the toddler has hidden it somewhere and the thread is full of places other people have found stuff their toddler hid.

Should give my son a cup of tea? really isn't that unusual. I think people are just surprised something so non-judgy is on AIBU Grin

I had just made myself coffee, but now I want tea

My 12 year old will go and make himself a cup, sometimes a pot, of tea.

Better than a fizzy drink imo Smile
