I think she's a bit too flash for the royal family; I can't see her being low key on engagements and that'll she'll want an 'international' voice for her causes. I think between the two of them they've a vision of being this humanitarian power couple doing good works in Africa, the odd thing in the UK (I don't think the UK is a focus for them), sweeping across the US meeting and doing charity-type things with important people. Friends will be other power type couples - Amal & George, Barack & Michelle, Angelina & [was Brad but whoever else next], Bill & Melinda. Maybe the Beckhams if they want them to support a charity although I feel the Beckhams are out of favour with the public more and more and the royal family will realise that too.
I think there's some conniving in all of this - on both sides. The royal family must know what some of the negative opinions of them are. He must know the criticism Will and Kate get. I think he also knows he's on a bit more of a positive roll with the UK public, being likened to his mother. So he will want to carry that on - by being seen as charitable and caring. And I think the other members of the royal family will want that popularity too, as if they go out of favour they're on increasingly thin ice. They're a business. Meghan also gets a deal out of this too - the chance to be seen as a wonderful person with all her work with poor, needy people, especially in Africa.
Of course, they won't be giving up the high life and the good things either - clothes, holidays, luxury homes, first class travel etc. Being a humanitarian and activist is such a 'thing' now. There are so many people that label themselves as such on Twitter or Instagram, followed by #opinionsmyown. I just can't believe it is genuine. There are people out there that are the real deal and they don't court the publicity for it.
She's very slick. I saw her Instagram before it was taken down. The usual pictures of a perfect life, artful poses to look sexy or innocent and in touch with unfortunate poor people (but look how I bring a smile to their faces), clothes, interior decor, travel, casual brunches with friends - all very cool and sophisticated looking, but clearly posed and staged.
Anyway, I predict they'll adopt an orphan from somewhere in Africa and have IVF for a boy and a girl. No surrogate though. All on-trend stuff. Loads of people have said it but I don't think it'll go the distance. It'll last for the next 5-10 years, they'll have some kids. I think she'll be another nail in the coffin for the royal family ultimately. #justmyopinions
