to think we've reached peak gin?

Was at the country living Christmas Fair today which was lovely. Didn't buy much but lots and lots of lovely ideas for gifts and the home.

There were at least 10 stands with gin - artisan gin, seaweed gin, infused gin, orange gin, every kind of gin you can think of. Over the last year gin has become super-trendy and there are SO many distillers and retailers that they can't possibly all survive, can they? AIBU to expect that the gin bubble will burst and disappear in a cloud of tonic?

And what's the next "big thing"?

I’m with you taybert - I like my G and T to taste of G! I like it about to/to with the tonic. Whitley Neill is my favourite, with fevertree tonic, unflavoured. I do like Gin Mare too, though.

I'd quite like Martini to be the next big thing. Cheap and cheerful and brings back pleasant memories of being 15 18.

The next big thing will be whatever the marketing people can make the most money from. There is nothing new under the sky, please make it be Newcastle Brown Ale...
