To spray a bit of perfume on the bus.

I don't want to sound horrible about people with strong body odour, , but some do positively honk when i'm on the bus. Today a man sat in front of me and the smell nearly took my breath away. Wibu to spray a bit of impulse round my neck. Anyone else do this.

if it was me i'd be petrified of public transport, i really can't imagine anyone taking that risk

Why? People with allergies still have shit to do. Like work and life and other stuff like mixing with actual people.
There is a lovely lady near my DCs school who carries an epipen as they have several severe allergies and an assistance dog. Should she not take that risk every time she steps out the door too, you know just in case?

Not everyone can afford to drive/is able to. The bus is often cheaper, and in London public transport is often the fastest option to get from A-B quickly anyway.

Indeed. I guess people with health issues like this should stop working and stay at home in a plastic bubble - good luck getting financial support from the government, mind you!

logicalmum, I felt I had to register just so I could respond to you because it's glaringly obvious that you misunderstand the possible consequences of spraying perfume aboard a bus.

This is not a question of snobbery or even slight discomfort. It's a matter of life and death. I pray you never spray your perfume on the bus near anyone who has allergic asthma like I have. It'd be the same as smothering that person with a pillow. The airways close tight. FAST. No air. Panic. And if the meds aren't there...

Are you understanding what I'm saying, logicalmum? Are you ready, for the sake of your little personal comfort, to kill another human being???

As for avoiding the bus, that is the most insensitive thing I've ever heard. Your DESIRE to not smell body odor stops where my HUMAN RIGHT to BREATHE starts. Capiche?
