To ask for my money?

In March I paid for concert tickets for me,my friend and her cousin.
They were £50 each.
My friend paid a week later but her cousin never paid.
I sent her a message and pic when the tickets arrived and reminded her they were £50.
8 months later no payment and concert is Sunday.
She is writing on her Facebook she is excited and can't wait but I don't think she's going to pay.
I asked my friend and she said she doubts she will pay for the ticket.
I asked my friend can she speak to her cousin and remind her about the £50 and she refused.
What would you do now?
Let her go for free?

Put it on for full price...is there a page for the band if so put it on there.

LazyDailyMailJournos · 19/11/2017 09:36

She's ignored it - so sell the ticket and message her to say that as she hasn't paid then you've sold it on.

Kellyopio · 19/11/2017 09:38

I've just put it on Twitter with the # of the tour name and also tweeted the fan page to ask to retweet my tweet.

OK - quick message to both CF cousins and original friend saying "Juat to let you know as I haven't heard back I'll sell the extra ticket on today. Cheers, Jane"

NoSquirrels · 19/11/2017 09:40

Is there an official reseller? Some operators do this.

TiredBefuddledRose · 19/11/2017 09:40

Do not sell it for less or she might decide to pay you less as that's all you want!!!
Put it on your local buy and sell page and share it to your own profile that way she will see it and know to pay up or she's not going and that you're serious!

aaaaargghhhhelpme · 19/11/2017 09:44

Yes to official reseller. Or local Facebook page (can come and pick up the ticket) and on your own wall - see if a friend fancies it. Sure there will be touts looking to buy outside the venue too. Every gig I've been to has had them.

and enjoy the gig!

Kellyopio · 19/11/2017 09:45

I've heard about twickets and get me in but unsure how they work.
Without everyone on here saying re sell ticket I probably would have not said a thing and let her go for free and looked like a mug so thanks for making me grow some balls.

I totally thought it was 19th Nov but it's 20th Nov.

Get your dates right. You don't want to miss the concert.

Touts will be selling tickets by a lot more if it's sold out, don't sell for less than the original price.

I'd put it on Facebook, and sell it to the first offer. Maybe you'd get a friend to go, which would be a bonus.

TooManyDicksOnTheDancefloor · 19/11/2017 09:58

It’s a shame it’s not the Leeds night, I’d have bought it!

deste · 19/11/2017 10:01

My DD went to see Stepps on Friday and said it was one of the best shows she had seen in a long time. Have a great time

ICanNeverThinkOfAGoodUsrname · 19/11/2017 10:05

That says it all, she was never planning on giving you the money.

Just sell it and try to get the full price for it to start with, only knock money off if you've not sold it by tomorrow later in the day and don't sell to her!!!

RinonaWyder · 19/11/2017 10:05

You'll love the show, I saw them on Thursday. Her loss if she doesn't pay up!

Kellyopio · 19/11/2017 10:08

I've been looking every night at the set list and videos on YouTube I'm so excited

Kellyopio · 19/11/2017 10:08

Ah it is,mines for Newcastle

LagunaBubbles · 19/11/2017 10:09

I'm glad you're selling it OP but seriously why you even consider giving it to her for nothing? Confused

SuperPug · 19/11/2017 10:10

Really glad you've put it online.
They were taking you for a mug. Why apologise about claiming your own money ? She didn't show you the same courtesy and had the brass neck to ask for petrol money. Some people are unbelievable. If they're willing to treat you like this they are not friends and you shouldn't have to analyse a text to send. No money = no ticket.

TinDogTavern · 19/11/2017 11:11

It costs FIFTY QUID to see STEPS???

misses point

Hope you get a buyer, OP, you're doing the right thing.

ChinkChink · 19/11/2017 11:22

Hang on - have you told your friend what's happening? She might be arranging to meet up with her cousin for the gig.

Gincision · 19/11/2017 11:51

It's in Newcastle? If it wasn't a Monday I'd have taken it off your hands at full price but I don't get out of work in time... I'm sure you'll find someone though

CherryChasingDotMuncher · 19/11/2017 11:55

FWIW I’m massively jealous!!
I’m in your neck of the woods sadly I’m busy tomorrow night otherwise I’d have it off you! But would it be OK if I paid you next year Wink

Kellyopio · 19/11/2017 11:55

I love steps Grin
I've literally been practicing my dance moves ha ha.
I missed out seeing them when I was 13/14 so the 30 odd year old me is about to combust.
Yeah I've told friend and she said ok then ..that was the response.
Then she just said she would mention it but didn't feel comfortable doing so (even tho they talk daily ...anywaaaaaay)

Kellyopio · 19/11/2017 11:55
