I was shouting at Jeremy Cunt on the Andrew Marr programme recently when he was -lying- telling us about all the extra money he's pumped into mental health of late. I'm a CPN and my trust as well as my last one have had to make cuts. I'm in despair at what little we can offer service users. He was on about how much he's put into IAPT, who in my humble opinion, are shit. They can't manage even the minimum of risk (pass them all onto secondary services to manage, so we get all the overspill but no extra funding for us.)

I love it but can someone confirm why was Jeremy Hunt challenging Ralf Little in the first place? Why did he say it was "his job" to find a better European country when Ralf has nothing to do with politics Afaik? Also did Jeremy respond?

I was referred to IAPT following my PTSD diagnosis. I have had a meeting with an administrator who filled in an initial assessment form but have been on the waiting list for the last 10 months to see an actual mental health specialist. Every couple of months I receive a letter to advise me I'm on the waiting list but not even near the top (do they not realise this waste of resources just causes more despair!). I'm one of those stats who is allegedly 'being treated' but hasn't actually entered therapy. I've given up hope of ever getting any help.
