To argue that food products have an 'age limit'

During the recent summer, my DC (14 & 19) both went through a substantial amount of ice creams and similar treats. Whilst DH and I are pretty strict on the amount of treats DD (14) has, DS is obviously more independent. This summer, every day he'd have at least one or two 'Calippos'. Now I have no issue with this, I just thought it was pretty funny as it's not at all conducive with the "gangster" image he tries to cultivate. I won't tell him that though! It just got me thinking at the time, I would absolutely die if my husband started sucking on a Calippo in our garden or if we had friends over! I just couldn't imagine it, a grown man (or woman) having certain treats like that.

Don't ask me at what age does it become embarrassing, but AIBU to think there is one?

My DD12 would certainly agree with you.

She called me “sad” when I bought fizzy cola bottles and strawberry laces the other day! But in my defence, I also bought a bottle of wine...

Huh? Really????

I bloody love a Callippo.

Am I meant to stick to Magnums now I'm 36? Cos I don't really like them and I'd rather not have to eat them.

At least you’ve conceded! As if adult life needs to get more boring by limiting the fun foods we can eat.. GrinCallipos are the tastiest lolly around so I will always eat them.

Callipos are good for any age!
