It is in the Daily Mail,so presumably can be said without all the usual hints on threads about Corey Haim.

I agree Sarahj that the whole ‘But he’s so talented!!’ thing is ridiculous. I still remember Cheryl Cole stating in an interview that people ‘Need to forgive’ Chris Brown for this reason. Bullshit!

MunchMunch · 09/11/2017 12:25

Glad to know that Corey Feldman’s allegations are being investigated, hopefully it will be taken seriously, especially now that the shit is well and truly hitting the fan in Hollywood

Scaredycat3000 · 09/11/2017 12:25

No - because the alleged victim is dead. If this happened it was his story to tell. He didn’t.
By that logic murderers should not be arrested. And Corey was definitely a victim of predatory pedophiles, he spoke about it in his TV series The two Coreys. He couldn't name names he would have ended up being arrested himself for defamation.

senzaparole03 · 09/11/2017 12:25

This is todays article? Daily Mail? Today? Is anything going to come of this? A conviction? I fear not.

A conviction? From an allegation?

How about due process?

smashyourglasses · 09/11/2017 12:26

I think Michael Jackson was trying to protect these boys and that's why they brought him down and went after him so obsessively. Look at pedo supporter and famed Jackson hater Barbara Walters trying to hush Feldman again up recently. Just... why?

CoughLaughFart · 09/11/2017 12:28

BY that logic murderers should not be arrested.

That is not ‘logic’ at all. You’re being ridiculous.

QuimReaper · 09/11/2017 12:28

Scaredy I didn't mean the fact of Charlie's denial, I meant the details about CH being abused at the ages of 11 and 13. That was just a for-instance though, I'm just wondering whether CH went on the record about any of this.

QuimReaper · 09/11/2017 12:29

And Corey was definitely a victim of predatory pedophiles, he spoke about it in his TV series The two Coreys. He couldn't name names he would have ended up being arrested himself for defamation.

All that means is that he definitely said it, not that it definitely happened. And he could have named names to the police.

HoneyIshrunkthebiscuit · 09/11/2017 12:30

It always shocks me how reasoned and intelligent people will forgive or disbelieve instances of a abuse because the perpetrator was talent or they like them.

smashyourglasses · 09/11/2017 12:31

Look into what I say about Walters, quim.

smashyourglasses · 09/11/2017 12:33

It always shocks me how people will buy into anything the rags feed them. Feldman and Culkin were both adamant MJ wasn't an abuser.

HoneyIshrunkthebiscuit · 09/11/2017 12:37

smash and his accusers were adamant he did and could identify marks and scars on his genitals.

CoughLaughFart · 09/11/2017 12:39

The two things aren’t mutually exclusive anyway. Michael Jackson could very well have abused children but not either Corey Haim or Feldman.

IsabelleSE19 · 09/11/2017 12:40

Like a pp…

Corey Haim Sad

Scaredycat3000 · 09/11/2017 12:45

Nice one cough what happened to #webelive They police lost any records of Feldman's allegations to them in the 90's.
Quim I'm not going to spend all day googling the answers you want. This is common knowledge if you have read about these poor boys. It was common knowledge at the time as shown in my previous posts.

Shakes head and wanders off.

MargaretTwatyer · 09/11/2017 12:46

He died of pneumonia and had some sort of genetic defect that affected his heart

Effing, he didn't die of a drugs overdose but that doesn't mean drugs had no impact on his death. He had an extremely common heart condition which often has genetic roots. However it's extremely, extremely unusual for it to have developed so badly it can kill at 38. For that to happen you're going to have needed aggravating factors to make it worse. Like drug habits and extreme stress. His lungs were in a poor state due to smoking and drug abuse. He was abusing prescription drugs in the lead up to his death which would also have led to generally poor health.

For a 38 year old to die from the conditions is vanishingly rare in the healthy. There would almost always be aggravating factors which created the situation where they would kill someone that age. In Haim's case that was drug abuse.

Capricorn76 · 09/11/2017 12:48

The pedo ring allegations will dwarf the Weinstein allegations. I watched An Open Secret. How BS isn't in jail when he appears to be hiding in plain sight is a mystery. He must have dirt on even more powerful people.

smashyourglasses · 09/11/2017 12:48

Honey they were paid to accuse him and the family went to journalists to get money long before going to the police.

Confused
QuimReaper · 09/11/2017 12:51

Scaredy Confused I wasn't picking on you or casting aspersions, your post was just the most recent to mine when I posted, and one of the most detailed. People seem to have quite a lot of detail, and I'm just unclear on what is rumour and what, if anything, is on the record (particularly from CH himself).

MissionItsPossible · 09/11/2017 12:57

quim Read this, it's a CF interview from last year (quite graphic)

NotJustThreeSmallWords · 09/11/2017 13:08

I haven't read the article cos Daily Mail - but why has CS denied this now? There have been rumours for years, so why speak out now?

HangryHanderson · 09/11/2017 13:13

I have not read any other threads on Corey but I was actively posting on the Weinstein and Spacey threads as I believe institutionalised and endemic abuse needs discussing and not let go or pushed under the carpet as soon as another news story comes along to take its place.
I posted the Open Secret documentary on one of those threads and an article about what happens to victims who spoke out with regard to Michael Evans.
Historical allegations should be investigated and victims who speak out should be heard and MOs collated. Even if it takes years. Eventually child abuse in the Catholic Church was uncovered - paedophilia in Hollywood should be no different.
The definition for rape in the US does differ from the definition in the UK which is why some of the Harvey Weinstein cases when there was alleged forced cunnilingus are being classified as rape rather than sexual assault. Given that the HW case and CH case are largely on American soil then their definitions and statutes apply, UK only wrt British victims.
There will always be those who think these threads and this type of allegation lead to unfair trials and ''phishing'' is unjust - I can understand this point of view but do not agree with it. If there are enough witnesses to go on record and enough evidence to publish then the stories are vital so that others come forward with their own testimonies.
As has been shown with Harvey Weinstein, a predator who gets away with it can repeat an act again and again over four decades.
So whilst the Corey Haim alleged abuse is past the statute of limitations, others who read the story and feel brave enough to come forward might not be.
In the case of Michael Evans, potentially a lawyer might enable him to
go to court again (he turned down a settlement and was abandoned by his lawyers but the judge ruled he could go to court at a future date with the same allegations, should he choose to do so).
Before it was railroaded by several chairs in a row, I had thought naively the Inquiry into Westminster paedophilia would finally bring justice for victims but sadly, as other news takes precedent, it has become yesterday's chip paper (until Brian Altman brings out a report everyone will ignore after a week).
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Independent_Inquiry_into_Child_Sexual_Abuse
Exaro news is sadly no more. MN was somewhere to discuss what no-one else appeared to be discussing.
I hope the thread stays up OP - difficult to move to Crime as it is an allegation only. Possibly In The News?

kissmethere · 09/11/2017 13:16

Corey Haim said in the program he did with Corey Feldman that he had been raped and Feldman knew about. Feldman denied it, if I recall correctly, and was of the attitude that Haim was making it up. I watched it YouTube a few years ago and it was so upsetting the way Corey Feldman was treating Corey Haim who was obviously in a serious drug problem. He had been saying it for years without naming names.

x2boys · 09/11/2017 13:16

I read somewhere that CS denied raping CH claiming it was consensual? Obviously given that CS was apparently 19?and CH was 13 it couldn't have been consensual but CH believed he was in love with CS at the time which appear to be grooming ?
