Soon-to-be DH and I are getting married in September 2018. Current honeymoon ideas are;

Iceland (hot springs!)
Rome, Rhodes and Amalfi
Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius
Maldives (might be too expensive!)

We love culture, history, and sight seeing, want to relax a bit, but worried about getting bored somewhere isolated and beautiful.

Where did you go on your honeymoon? Help us with some more ideas please Smile

Budget fairly flexible, around £2,500

Second Delta, Switzerland is beautiful with loads to do. I did everything that Delta did when I went on a family holiday at 14 years old. Memories stayed with me forever and it was there interlaken/ Bonningen that I began to appreciate beauty!

We did Cyprus in early October several years ago, it was amazing! We stayed on the Greek side just up the road from ayia napa. Could walk in to go on a tour or visit bars but neither of us are clubbers so didnt bother with that aspect of it!

Of your 4 options, Rome + Amalfi coast absolutely. We went this year in June/July with DS (2.5) and loved it so much we have booked flights for September 2018. DS will be 3.5, we will have a 12 week old baby and we live in NZ 😁 so it gives you an idea of how much we loved it!! It's just gorgeous.

Base yourself in Positano and explore the Amalfi coast from there. We stayed at Residence Alcione which I recommend - great views of the town and out to sea. The top room (Sirena 1) has a gigantic terrace.

Rome I never get sick of, we stayed in an Airbnb near Campo de Fiori but have also stayed in Trastevere. As long as I'm near a gelataria I'm happy...
