H speaks to himself in bathroom?

AIBU to worry that my H talks to himself in the bathroom in the morning before work?!

He usually just mutters a few words, but today he sounded like he had a convo and started laughing.

Only happens in the morning. He has a very tough job dealing with global CEO's etc. So is it stress or something else? Confused

OP are we married to the same man? Grin

DH changed job about 8 weeks ago and I've not noticed it recently. However for years he has had conversations with himself. It usually goes "are you alright? Yeah not too bad thanks"

I've always found it weird and it creeps me out. I think it's his way of coping with stress.

I talk to myself constantly, sometimes I also make gestures while doing so. I do it while walking the dog and throw in an "eh, girl?" so I can pretend I'm talking to her, but I don't think she really cares that that car looks like nice or that I'm looking forward to Xmas. Grin

I do it too, it's the only way to get the right answer sometimes.

So do I. I also run my troubles and woes past Isobel .... who is my rag doll. That's what happens when you live alone. She's good and never judges me Grin

I sing in the corridor at work, too.

Seriously, I wouldn't give it a second thought

"Well, if you can’t talk to yourself, who can you talk to?"

Apart from talking to myself, as I'm pottering around at home, I do also talk to the cats - but they're not nearly so interesting, or interested, as I am; nor will they engage in my conversations with various invisible people - I can't think why Hmm Grin

I do this all the time, not full conversations but particular phrases or sentences when a conversation is happening in my head. I don't even have a job. I don't think other people can hear me but they can probably see my mouth moving. I tend to do it when I'm walking alone. If it gets heated, it's more of a conversation. I don't think I'm talking to another person. More practising things I have said or things I would like to say! I redo conversations the way I would like them to have gone. I obviously always 'win' in my head Wink

Oh yeah, I gesture a LOT so people probably notice more than I've realised Blush the school run seems to be my favourite rehearsal ground!

I once shared with a guy who use to talk to himself in the mirror. "Good morning you handsome fellow!" was his starting point.

Aww, that makes me think of that little Jessica girl on YouTube.

I talk to myself, too. A lot of times if I have a difficult hearing, I'll "talk it out," to try to figure out how to rule. I sing a lot, too. Currently it's Alexander Hamilton from Hamilton.

I'm glad to see I'm not alone. I love having a good natter. I like to talk about myself or my day or my experiences without the interruption of other people's opinions or interjections of their own experiences! I am generally quiet in nature and find small talk/talking about myself difficult. I also don't need to hold back on what I say because no one will judge me!

To add another level of crazy though, I very often have my outloud car conversations in different accents!

I am definitely coining the phrase 'vocalising my internal voice' from now on though.
