Manafort Destiny? Trump continued

Where will the charges against Manafort lead? Whose shredders are overheating today? And most importantly, when will the Tweetstorm-from-the-loo start?

As w/ Tsarnaev brothers, so too did Saipov radicalize in the US, not in Central Asia. Extreme vetting will not address why men like Saipov, Tsarnaevs, Lanza, Roof murder. It's too easy & politically expedient to look abroad when the problem lies within.

Interesting point. Where and why he radicalised - to whatever cause - is as important as the cause to which he was radicalised.

“You Can’t Go Any Lower”: Inside the West Wing, Trump Is Apoplectic as Allies Fear Impeachment
After Monday’s indictments, the president blamed Jared Kushner in a call to Steve Bannon, while others are urging him to take off the gloves with Robert Mueller.

According to two sources, Trump has complained to advisers about his legal team for letting the Mueller probe progress this far. Speaking to Steve Bannon on Tuesday, Trump blamed Jared Kushner for his role in decisions, specifically the firings of Mike Flynn and James Comey, that led to Mueller’s appointment, according to a source briefed on the call. When Roger Stone recently told Trump that Kushner was giving him bad political advice, Trump agreed, according to someone familiar with the conversation. “Jared is the worst political adviser in the White House in modern history,”

Thanks giving will be fun for the family won't it.

Assuming if they all make it that far.

Not sure which the more amusing scenario is. No Jared. No Donny. No Jared or Donny. Or No Adult Kids and Donald sat all by himself with a silent Melania and Baron.

Waiting.

Blimey, some classic examples of Russian trolling in that display by the Senate Subcommittee on Intelligence.

Reading that vanity fair piece - it’s starting to feel like trump genuinely didn’t know he had no clothes on because of the binders of positive press, Fox roundly deflecting any criticism and echoing back what he wanted to hear, the GOP heaping praise onto him at every opportunity and mueller is the mirror, showing him glimpses of how he really is naked.

I think he’s been so immersed in this other, dare I say it, fake reality that he didn’t expect that there would be real life consequences.

Slide Fire starts selling bump stocks again

money.cnn.com/2017/11/01/smallbusiness/slide-fire-bump-stocks/index.html

Shannon Watts
@shannonrwatts

  1. Exactly one month ago, hundreds of Americans were shot by a man with easy access to bump stocks, an arsenal and 1000s of rounds of ammo.

  2. Our government decided to “honor” lives of the 58 dead - along with hundreds critically injured - by letting bump stock sales restart.

  3. This is happening on the same day the president is calling for an Extreme Vetting Program ™ to address terrorism by non-white men.

  4. Think about this for a minute: Instead of strengthening laws, some in Congress are enabling @NRA agenda, which puts more lives at-risk.

  5. In the meantime, Slide Fire jacked up its bump stock prices and is making money off of the deaths of American
    t.co/BKGV8WisI8?amp=1

  6. Unlike yesterdays act of terrorism in Manhattan, after Las Vegas we were given @NRA talking points: It’s too early to speak of solutions.

  7. It’s always too late to talk about the lax gun laws that enable our gun violence crisis. It’s too late for the 93 Americans killed daily.

  8. While Congress moves in the wrong direction, we must push back and fight to save lives. It's on ALL OF US to take action in gun violence.

  9. Do this right now: Text REJECT to 64433. Tell your Congress members that you will hold them accountable for their inaction on gun safety.

  10. Now text JOIN to 64433; get involved with @MomsDemand locally. The lives you save may be in your own family or community. #RejectTheNRA

I thought this section of the Vanity Fair article was really interesting - it shows why the WH admin & right wing press are making so much noise about the uranium deal:

Roger Stone believes defunding Mueller isn’t enough. Instead, Stone wants Trump to call for a special prosecutor to investigate Hillary Clinton’s role in approving the controversial Uranium One deal that’s been a locus of rightwing hysteria (the transaction involved a Russian state-owned energy firm acquiring a Canadian mining company that controlled 20 percent of the uranium in the United States). It’s a bit of a bank shot, but as Stone described it, a special prosecutor looking into Uranium One would also have to investigate the F.B.I.’s role in approving the deal, thereby making Mueller—who was in charge of the bureau at the time—a target. Stone’s choice for a special prosecutor: Rudy Giuliani law colleague Marc Mukasey or Fox News pundit Andrew Napolitano. “You would immediately have to inform Mueller, Comey, and [Deputy Attorney General] Rod Rosenstein that they are under federal investigation,” Stone said. “Trump can’t afford to fire Mueller politically. But this pushes him aside.”

Am I missing something?

I read the Georgia news as in the State Attorney office is distancing themselves from those responsible for the electronic election system and the failure to protect it.

It looks to me as if they think they're guilty and the system is not secure.

If it leads to a successful lawsuit and to a system with papertrail, surely that's better.

Every person Trump has chosen to lead a governmental entity (except the military) was selected because they want to destroy that entity.

PainInTheEerie · 01/11/2017 19:35

Yes, it’s a good thing. I think the “scandal” is that the servers were wiped, not that it is nefarious that the ag quit. I think the wiping of servers might be new information to some people, hence the reaction to that? (That’s what I’m getting from the comments to the news anyhow but as always, could be entirely mistaken!)

If bannon thinks that trump might not survive an impeachment vote, that is huge, but my hope is tempered with the fear that cornered animals attack more viciously (and they don’t usually come equipped with nuclear codes). The pace has definitely upped this week and I’m starting to think that it might really be the beginning of the end, though that brings with it The Aftermath.
