I hope that car has its MOT booked as apparently it's due in the next few weeks. vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk/

MovingOnUpMovingOnOut · 24/10/2017 16:51

Even on the quoted link (from some blokes back bedroom in Telford) it says it's fine to post so long as it's just sitting there.

Such nannying nonsense from MNHQ. Disappointing.

pisacake · 24/10/2017 16:51

Y4 NBU was on a 2003 Volvo S60 (so someone will have paid £400 for the plate as Y reg is 2001), however, the MOT expired in 2013 and so plate presumably not in use atm.

If any petrolheads fancy a laugh then head to Barry Boys. A site where users post pics of terribly modified cars they find out and about and rip the piss out of them. Sometimes the owners will turn up and threaten legal action/have the site shut down as it’s illegal to post pics of their cars/number plates etc. They’re told to go fuck themselves as the site are VERY clear on the law.

MovingOnUpMovingOnOut · 24/10/2017 16:53

That was Justine's car pisa. She had to get rid of it though due to a security risk after she pranged it in Sainbo's car park.

Honest.

CotedePablo · 24/10/2017 16:53

Local lady used to run about in S4NDM.

I found it quite chucklesome.

AnneElliott · 24/10/2017 16:54

I also disagree it's a security risk. Vehicle registration numbers are not private - the number of times it's caught on CCTV or ANPR each day means it's not a private piece of info.

MovingOnUpMovingOnOut · 24/10/2017 16:55

Course the Sainbo story was a cover up. Hoards of rabid MNers swarmed the car and jostled it to fuck with the OFRSs and Bugaboos.

It was very upsetting at the time.

Grin moving

Blimey, we have a tough crowd in today!

Slightly miffed to see that not one of the many MNers who reported this thread has jumped to our defence here... Wink Anyway, yes, you caught us red handed - we sometimes resort to trawling the internet when we don't know the answers. And yes, maybe we were being a trifle heavy handed here.

So unless the owner gets in touch saying 'Oi! That's my car!' we can probably let this thread stand.

Happy now? Grin

MovingOnUpMovingOnOut · 24/10/2017 17:03

Yes thank you very much.

MovingOnUpMovingOnOut · 24/10/2017 17:04

You could have put my missing apostrophe in though Hmm Grin

JoanUpney · 24/10/2017 17:06

I belong to a local Facebook group called “Parking like a twat [name of town]”. Every day it’s full of photos of cars who are, well, parking like a twat. No car number plate is pixelated and all are clearly readable with the location of where they’re parked also given.

Every now and again someone (who has parked like a twat) comes along to complain. It’s not illegal in any shape or form so the photo remains and the objector is sent away with a flea in their ear

I am very careful I never park in a manner to end up with my car on the group.

(Does anyone know how to do strike through on iPhone after the system update?)

That was payback, obviously.
