Brilliant quote but those people sound like a bloody nightmare.

My favourite quote is “don’t fight with pigs, you both get dirty but the pig enjoys it”.

The one I am Hmm about is “it will be alright in the end, if it’s not alright it’s not the end”. I always think that’s so trite for people who are very ill or have had an awful accident, because their end is not alright.

Actually the most inspirational thing anyone ever said to me was when I was lamenting ill health that had stopped me from running and how I couldn’t even be bothered to try as I would never get back to the running standard I used to be at before. She said “well you might not that’s true, but you’ll still be running won’t you? You’ll be at another level but if you don’t even try you’ll still just be here, never running at all”. I think this can be applied to most areas of life.

I'm not so keen on your one OP, but I like the don't fight with pigs one!

I'm not one for quotes much as many can be just so trite and with health problems and things beyond my control to deal with they just leave me annoyed... but i do like the serenity prayer (though I am not religious) when I remember to think about it.

it is commonly quoted as

(god) Grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

It speaks to me about letting go, being smart and recognising that life often takes courage though we might not credit ourselves with it, and to keep on doing what we can do.

Also I like "Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I'll try again tomorrow" Mary Anne Radmacher

People can underestimate the quiet persistent strength it can take just to accept waking up tomorrow knowing that what will happen probably won't be fun or easy, but doing it anyway. (Thinking of my DH :()
