I don't want 'easy peelers' I want satsumas.

As title says. It seems that satsumas have completely disappeared off the face of the earth. I can only find them in Marks and Spencer’s. Satsumas are one of the greatest things about winter. I don’t want clementines, mandarins or anything else I want satsumas. It’s not that late in the season! 😡

Morrisons!

HeadlessHorsemad · 23/10/2017 12:39

I feel your pain OP! Same thing bugs me Grin

Gunpowder · 23/10/2017 12:40

Ocado have had them off and on, and big sainsbos. Apparently only brits like them, everyone else prefers clems. Sad

RosyPony · 23/10/2017 12:40

Easy peelers never taste as nice!

Pemba · 23/10/2017 12:45

I'm with you OP! Clementines are rubbish, so-called easy peelers are fudging it - what are they?

However I did manage to get actual satsumas recently from both Sainsbury's and Asda.

coconutpie · 23/10/2017 12:45

Thank goodness there is a thread for this!!! I have been trying to find satsumas for weeks and there’s nothing but crappy mandarins everywhere.

Leeds2 · 23/10/2017 12:48

Easy Peelers give me the rage!

Swirlingasong · 23/10/2017 12:48

Totally agree. Satsumas are the best. I've got them in Tesco but it seems to get harder every year. Glad I'm not the only one - and don't even get me stayed on the people who think all little oranges are the same!

BakedBeans47 · 23/10/2017 12:49

Oh I have seen loads of them of late! Morrisons, Tesco and Asda all had them. I love them too. So did Aldi but theirs are shite. Bought Saturday and rotten this morning.

Henrythehoover · 23/10/2017 12:50

I got satsumas from Tesco but they didn't have a huge amount. My children won't eat any others

Bubblebubblepop · 23/10/2017 12:50

I totally agree. What the fuck are easy peelers?! It's winter and I want clems

BakedBeans47 · 23/10/2017 12:50

Oh and Waitrose too

I have bought a lot of satsumas of late :)

Groovee · 23/10/2017 12:50

I got them in Tesco and asda.

Bostin · 23/10/2017 12:50

Me too! They are increasingly hard to come by.

Candlelight234 · 23/10/2017 12:51

'Easy peelers' - gah. Just tell me the actual name of the fruit!?!?

PandorasXbox · 23/10/2017 12:52

I always find “easy peelers” anything but easy to peel!

SpinnerDryer · 23/10/2017 12:53

Whats the difference between easy peelers & satsumas?

Apart from £2. Are they not as juicy?

LittleNoSleep · 23/10/2017 12:53

Local markets are best. I get satsumas at ours, with proper baggy skins. None of your crap not-so-easy peelers.

ilovegin112 · 23/10/2017 12:53

Booths have them if you live in the north

iamghosted · 23/10/2017 12:55

YANBU

Satsumas are the best citrus. I can't bear Clementines or Easy Peelers.

Nothing beats the way a Satsuma tastes and smells.

LilithTheKitty · 23/10/2017 13:01

YANBU but Asda has satsumas. £1 A bag.

ZigZagIntoTheBlue · 23/10/2017 13:32

Omg I so agree. My whole family are Hmm when I go into one about it but I don't fucking want easy peelers or Clementine or any of that shit! Sadly excited when I find actual satsumas!

PlaidMaid · 23/10/2017 13:34

Morrisons have them this week - £1. My DH fully agrees with you and kicks off when I buy easy peelers!

Drinaballerina · 23/10/2017 13:34

I have found my people! My Sainsburys has satsumas luckily. Just had to have one or 3 now, yum!

CardinalSin · 23/10/2017 13:36

WTAF are "easy peelers" anyway?

In Saisbury's yesterday they had about 5 bins of "easy peelers" and 1 box of Satsumas.
