Is he a complete bastard or AIBU

Dh has just brought me in half of a hot apple pie on a plate with a fork, I said " I can't eat this it without custard" it's shit isn't it, he said tough just suck it up.

I'm now getting smug slurpy sounds and looks as he shovels his in his gob, and he's eagerly awaiting
The mumsnet massive replys.

YA so NBU if the custard is cold.

Coloursthatweremyjoy · 19/10/2017 21:23

SecretSmellies - oohhh. That sounds lovely...sudden craving for an Irish coffee.

YANBU about the custard OP.

LaurieMarlow · 19/10/2017 21:23

I now want apple pie and custard more than anything on earth.

StrumpersPlunkett · 19/10/2017 21:23

Either custard or lovely vanilla ice cream or extra thick cream

NinonDeLenclos · 19/10/2017 21:24

Don't like apple pie either way.

Secretsthatnevershouldbetold · 19/10/2017 21:25

I hate this " hilarious - light hearted " threads. They're so shit hmm

I hate sneery "mean girl" posters. But I guess everyone has a right to post what they want...

Rufustherenegadereindeer1 · 19/10/2017 21:28

Yet you felt the need to post.

Looking at DH asleep on sofa wondering if I should eat his chocolate

Sagethyme · 19/10/2017 21:32

You are all wrong
It needs lashings and lashings of clotted cream Grin

AtSea1979 · 19/10/2017 21:32

It needs evaporated milk.

Sagethyme · 19/10/2017 21:33

witches it is your duty to eat the chocolate!

Telstar99 · 19/10/2017 21:35

No way would I have ate it without custard. Yuk.

Would have got it myself.

And I would have made sure I behaved the same towards him soon - about something!!!

WitchesHatRim · 19/10/2017 21:37

witches it is your duty to eat the chocolate!

Too right. I did ask him if I could although as he is asleep he can't say no

seafoodeatit · 19/10/2017 21:38

YADNBU, it's like making an apple crumble but leaving out the apples! custard is a key ingredient.

Stickaforkinimdone · 19/10/2017 21:41

YABU to eat apple pie...all that minging pastry

Now crumble on the other hand, a crumble is a sacred dish but should never be attempted without custard
As far as I’m concerned the custard is a constituent ingredient; it’s like eating weetabix without an inch of caster sugar on top, you just wouldn’t would you 😄

Needadvicetoleave · 19/10/2017 21:45

All dessert needs 'sauce' either cream, ice cream or custard. DH is only just learning this after 11years together and often gets it wrong - custard with key lime pie anyone?

Inertia · 19/10/2017 21:46

Custard is horrible.

Apple pie is quite wet enough.

Booie09 · 19/10/2017 21:52

Only one thing for it tell him to get the Fuck out and either get custard, fresh cream or ice cream or your off to see your lawyer!

FeedMeAndTellMeImPretty · 19/10/2017 21:59

Hot custard (preferably Birds, not that tinned muck) plus ice cream and also pouring cream .

Or a McDonalds apple pie with a toffee sundae on the side.

HTH.

DJBaggySmalls · 19/10/2017 22:00

Its almost as if I'm the only person that makes hot jam sauce.
You know you want it now....

paddlingwhenIshouldbeworking · 19/10/2017 22:10

No no no to custard. Would like lovely thick cream but would eat with ice cream or plain but would walk away if touched by custard.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 19/10/2017 22:15

It DOES need custard, but just on principle I would have forced it down

SchadenfreudePersonified · 19/10/2017 22:16

Looking at DH asleep on sofa wondering if I should eat his chocolate

I'm sorry - I can't see the problem here.

Of COURSE you should eat his chocolate

MrsOverTheRoad · 19/10/2017 22:21

Half of a whole pie!? Shock

Guiltypleasures001 · 19/10/2017 23:31

Yes 'twas a whole half 😱 and just like dh was lush, but I'll not say that out loud
And yes if anyone's asleep on a sofa, their chocolate goodies are fair game , nods sagely

And many thanks for the many posters who replied in the spirit of my post, may your weekend be
Filled with the desert of your choice. 💐
