Is he a complete bastard or AIBU

Dh has just brought me in half of a hot apple pie on a plate with a fork, I said " I can't eat this it without custard" it's shit isn't it, he said tough just suck it up.

I'm now getting smug slurpy sounds and looks as he shovels his in his gob, and he's eagerly awaiting
The mumsnet massive replys.

I need custard ffs otherwise it's just too dry 😒

These threads not this

WhatWouldGenghisDo · 19/10/2017 20:31

The whole point of apple pie is it's an excuse to eat custard. Your DH is totally unreasonable.

LineysRun · 19/10/2017 20:31

I'm with you, Clover.

ethelfleda · 19/10/2017 20:31

YANBU
I've passed up many a pudding because custard wasn't available. Crumbles, pies, hot sponge puddings... all need custard.

Gingernaut · 19/10/2017 20:32

Ben & Jerry's Vanilla Ice Cream

Theyhaveallbeenused2 · 19/10/2017 20:32

You need ice cream

SlothMama · 19/10/2017 20:33

I can eat it with or without to be honest!

Flyinggeese · 19/10/2017 20:34

He is massively scummy or the pie?

MikeUniformMike · 19/10/2017 20:34

At least he didn't bring it smothered in Elmlea

SecretSmellies · 19/10/2017 20:35

I'm with cheddar.

Or Waitrose Madagascar Vanilla Bean custard.

Or....... and I admit I am going totally off piste here, but that's how I roll.... hot fudge sauce with an Irish coffee on the side.

You're welcome.

ArseholesOnToast · 19/10/2017 20:35

You need custard, cream or ice cream but to serve it naked is wrong.

Guiltypleasures001 · 19/10/2017 20:36

I'm the scummy one, I have blocked hurty ears a sore throat, oh and I need a knee replacement
So he brings me treats, less custard obviously

KarateKitten · 19/10/2017 20:36

Cream or custard or icecream. I personally like custard and whipped cream.

But if it's a beautifully home made one, with skilfully made pastry you don't need anything to enjoy it.

If it's shop bought stodgy crap then YABU to eat it at all. I couldn't even touch it without smothering it in custard or something.

RB68 · 19/10/2017 20:44

In this weather def custard - comfort food

gamerchick · 19/10/2017 20:46

I’m sure he’ll take it off your hands if you don’t want it Grin

Butteredparsn1ps · 19/10/2017 20:46

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 19/10/2017 20:47

I'm with you OP, needs custard (or in a pinch milk) or its goes all claggy in your mouth.

Missingstreetlife · 19/10/2017 20:48

Keep a pot of yoghurt in the fridge for this

CoffeeCupCake · 19/10/2017 20:49

Milk!!??

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 19/10/2017 20:50

Milk!!??

Yep. It's just (very) thin cream after all...

DeadDoorpost · 19/10/2017 20:52

Nah, Apple crumble beats a pie.

Still needs custard though. Ambrose full fat custard piping hot

PovertyPain · 19/10/2017 20:52

Yuck! Custard? It has to been vanilla ice cream!

And as for the moaners, it's a big site, so I'm sure if you look hard enough you'll find a nice serious topic to weep over. FFS, you'd think you were being forced to read at gun point.

Anyway. Ice cream ice cream ice cream ice cream ice cream 🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨

missyB1 · 19/10/2017 20:52

Oh God I love custard! With anything or even on its own. Apple pie without custard is unthinkable he should be ashamed!

WitchesHatRim · 19/10/2017 20:52

Rufustherenegadereindeer1 · 19/10/2017 20:53
