For me it's a kebab, so many people wouldn't touch it, but I love that grey, greasy meat 😂

what do you all enjoy that turns people's stomach?

I genuinely love lumpy mashed potato.

dippyeggsandtoast · 21/10/2017 23:18

Music it’s great eh? Especially when mixed up with baked beans.... if I’m feeling really nasty I might have it with a poached egg on top.....

MusicToMyEars800 · 21/10/2017 23:20

Orange peel.

dippyeggsandtoast · 22/10/2017 16:55

Good god Music that sounds incredible. I do have a penchant for tuna mixed with beans 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Mrsknackered · 22/10/2017 18:21

I didn't realise tuna and beans was a no no.
When I was in my teens, my friend made me baked sweet potato with Philadelphia, tuna and baked beans and cheese. I thought she was batshit, but it was splendid.

Glumglowworm · 22/10/2017 18:37

Stilton, Shropshire blue, Yorkshire blue cheeses

Diet Coke (everyone on MN seems to think it's evil)

Coffee flavoured chocolates

JonSnowsWife · 22/10/2017 18:41

Cold baked beans. Blush

I made beans on toast for myself (fed DCs too of course-they had spaghetti hoops). I had a mouthful of beans and DD promptly disowned me. Grin

Yogagirl123 · 22/10/2017 18:50

Evaporated milk and jelly. Liver, bacon and onion. Marzipan. Stilton. Baked beans and mint sauce, yummy!

LBOCS2 · 22/10/2017 20:03

Tuna and beans mixed together looks like vomit but tastes delicious.

I had a prawn, anchovy, tuna and caper Pizza yesterday. It was delicious.

I love most of these things. Liver, faggots, black pudding, olives, all seafood, pretty much all vegetables... I’m really not picky.

OwlKiss · 22/10/2017 20:07

Semolina. Specifically cold semolina. FIL (my only ally who admits it is quite nice) likes it hot, even he makes Shock face at the idea of eating it cold.

HulaMelody · 22/10/2017 20:30

Mussels
Haggis

And cheese scones spread with jam (black currant best). The sweet and savoury combo is amazing but I had one at a cafe once and my friends got a bit ‘burn the witch!’ about it.

doctorcuntybollocks · 22/10/2017 20:31

I love Indian semolina pudding (hot or cold).

I use a slight adaptation of this recipe:

chefinyou.com/2011/01/04/sooji-suji-halwa/

I use soya milk (Alpro Light - the type from the chiller cabinet) rather than water, and I reduce the sugar somewhat (two thirds of a cup rather than a full cup, perhaps). Rather than cardamom powder, I use the crushed seeds from about 6 or 8 cardamom pods.

It's easy to make and absolutely delicious.

doctorcuntybollocks · 22/10/2017 20:33

I also use vegetable oil (rapeseed or sunflower) rather than ghee.

AuldHeathen · 22/10/2017 20:35

Sprouts
Avocados
Beetroot
I’m sure there are more! Haven’t read tft as didn’t want to be influenced Hmm.

doctorcuntybollocks · 22/10/2017 21:28

I've remembered another great - and very simple - tofu recipe.

Carrot and Tofu Scramble (this version is by Miyoko Nishimoto Schinner)

1 pound firm tofu (Cauldron brand works well for this)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 pound carrots, peeled and grated
1/3 cup good quality soy sauce (Kikkoman is by far my favourite)
1/4 cup sesame seeds
1 teaspoon dark sesame oil

Drain the tofu and squeeze it between paper towels / kitchen roll to remove as much water as possible.

Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan or saucepan and add the carrots. Saute until fairly tender.

Crumble the tofu into little bits (by hand) and add to the pan. Saute until the carrots are soft and the tofu is dry.

Add the soy sauce and sesame seeds and saute for a moment more.

Finally, add the sesame oil.

BulletFox · 22/10/2017 21:31

Haven't had tofu in ages. Used to love 'stinky tofu' in china

raspberrysuicide · 22/10/2017 21:32

Anyone else like Jellied Eels?

Ratonastick · 22/10/2017 21:44

Herrings. Bloody lovely, but I get the jar to myself.

Slowtrain2dawn · 22/10/2017 21:46

Dripping, lardy cake, black pudding. Just seen a theme! And yet I cut the fat off bacon...
