It doesn't need to be anything earth-shattering, just something positive!

I'll start us off: I did what I've been meaning to do for five years and made a calendar of my cat! She's so photogenic so it was quite easy.

Your turn!

Pumperthepumper · 14/10/2017 22:45

I found a sea marble 🌊

Doublejeopardy · 14/10/2017 22:46

Bought some beautiful baby gros for my friends nephew, tried on 7 pairs of jeans and got a pair I love ridiculously overpriced but for once I can afford them saw my boys run about outside laughing until they cried, walked our puppy in the fields near our house, made a great lasagne

Busy day but lovely.

Jakadaal · 14/10/2017 22:52

I spent the day with dad (15) the last month or so has been very strained ... coming out, running away, problems at school. Today I felt as though she really wanted to spend time with me and I loved every minute

ZigZagIntoTheBlue · 14/10/2017 22:52

My oldest cracked bike riding today, we've been trying for aaaaaages but today even though he was initially reluctant he just nailed it, we were so proud!

SabineUndine · 14/10/2017 22:53

I bought some new makeup and the nice lady who served me gave me loads of free bits.

MissElizaBennett · 14/10/2017 22:53

Took my 2-year old DS for a trip on a miniature steam train (leaving DH at home to clear out and paint the garden shed, free from toddler 'help'). The joyful look on DS's face as we steamed into a tunnel was wonderful, as was his conviction that we were actually riding in Thomas the Tank Engine's coaches, Annie and Clarabel.

Jakadaal · 14/10/2017 22:53

DD obvs not my dad!

HunterofStars · 14/10/2017 22:55

I had two wins on the Euromillions this week. I've also started Xmas shopping and have got my Dad's and BIL's presents sorted out. I also have a new lavender eye mask to try out.

Lovely thread, OP.

Happy birthday, BitOfANameChange!

Deux · 14/10/2017 23:03

DH and I had some unexpected child-free time today. And went to visit a small gallery (Watts Gallery). It was lovely and the attendant gave us an unexpected guided tour of the paintings.

I unpicked the waistband on some pyjamas as the elastic had been put in badly. I removed the elastic and replaced it with a drawstring.

Oh and ate a whole bar of Lindt chocolate. Smile

redexpat · 14/10/2017 23:19

We held a party for ds who just turned 6. He blew the candles out which is normal for an NT child but he has autism so usually freaks out about being the centre of attention when he doesnt know exactly whats going on. So we didnt sing. Most people didnt even see the candles bei g lit. But I did and I saw the smile on his face.

IncyWincyGrownUp · 14/10/2017 23:23

I remembered to take food out for dinner tomorrow. We’ve all been poorly and I’m suffering from an inability to remember simple things, so I’m chuffed I remembered and that we’ll have a decent hot dinner tomorrow instead of a “what the fuck can I cook that isn’t going to poison us?!” meal:o

DollyMcDolly · 14/10/2017 23:24

Chelsea got beat and Liverpool drew

BitOfANameChange · 14/10/2017 23:27

Thanks for the birthday wishes. Smile

CalmanOnSpeeddial · 14/10/2017 23:35

Nice guy from Carphone Warehouse sorted out DS’s phone. Made me feel like a bit of a tit for not sorting it out myself but not on purpose and frankly I don’t care as long as it’s sorted. A walk in an unusual direction today brought me to a lovely DIY shop that I haven’t been to in ten years, which is still just the same (except that it now stocks plug sockets with built-in USB slots) and cheerfully provided me with the floor wax that Sainsbury’s and Ocado had failed to supply.

Susan Calman’s dance on Strictly made me smile. And although Alexandra Burke’s distress over missing her late mother was sad, the way Claudia comforted her and Shirley and Oti surreptitiously wiped away tears of sympathy was a very warm and positive moment of female solidarity.

ProseccoMamam · 15/10/2017 00:02

I finally sorted out the weeds in the garden and it looks a lot less cluttered so people walking past won’t think we’re tramps

minsmum · 15/10/2017 00:10

The cats were brave enough to walk past the new dog. Feels like we are getting there slowly

MummaTwinkleToes · 15/10/2017 00:15

I had a bath without toddler DS1 jumping in or throwing his toys in for me to play with and was able to shave my hairy gorilla legs Grin

Lily2007 · 15/10/2017 00:32

Booked us a week in Bath Christmas break. Daughter had a sleepover at school though not much sleep, told me puzzled she was told off for talking at 4.30am and then went to sleep, poor teachers who got to cover that. Smile DS (10) told me he loved me more than anything in the world. Grin

Madbum · 15/10/2017 00:44

My DD 16months who hates cuddles and kisses climbed on my lap today and kissed me 🤗 then laid her little head on my chest and patted my arm making an ahhhh sound.
I nearly died from happiness and cuteness overload 😍

BillyJoel · 15/10/2017 00:53

I did a load of DIY that had been mounting for months. I was knackered by 7 when I finished so we had our first Indian takeaway for 6 months. Girls set the table all lovely with candles and Indian music. It was lovely.

BeALert · 15/10/2017 02:15

My children didn't throw up on the boat.

Pastorkidneys · 15/10/2017 02:17

Had a note from headmistress praising DS.
DH managed to assemble an ikea flat pack without buggering it up.
Managed to save a pigeon from a kestrel.
