It doesn't need to be anything earth-shattering, just something positive!

I'll start us off: I did what I've been meaning to do for five years and made a calendar of my cat! She's so photogenic so it was quite easy.

Your turn!

I managed to park my stupidly big car successfully between the white lines on the parking space first try ! 😆😆😆 (usually have to faff about parking lol)

Talcott2007 · 14/10/2017 18:51

DP took DD to the park while I had a nap! Amazing!

Ilovecoleslaw · 14/10/2017 18:51

I got a free can of coke at blue water, and a free sample of body lotion at body shop.
Also started buying Christmas presents which makes me feel really prepared this year

NoParticularPattern · 14/10/2017 18:54

I baked a banana cake and didn’t manage to forget about it once in the oven unlike last week’s coffee cake which is now only suitable for trifle

MollyHuaCha · 14/10/2017 18:54

I took my first ever uber taxi. So easy!

LaGattaNera · 14/10/2017 18:57

Lady in supermarket (I don't know her) told me I have a fantastic bottom and asked how I got it - I replied that I do tons of exercise, running, weights, step etc but it really lifted me up - had a crap week and just such a kind lovely random compliment changed my whole mood so thank you lovely lady Flowers

JoandMax · 14/10/2017 18:58

Went to a new Turkish restaurant for lunch - DC were well behaved and ate well and DS2 tried lots of new things. He's had a lot of feeding issues and it's so good to be able to go to nice places and have a lovely meal together.

And I got everything I need to make some costumes for the DC later in the week - so now tomorrow when they're at school and DH at work I can sit seeing in peace with the cat

Smile- I certainly don't regard renting at 40 as an indication that you have failed at life. I'm a homeowner but it doesn't mean I'm a better person, I was just lucky the way things worked out, but believe me there have been many things that haven't. I don't know which thread you're referring to, but I hope that any smug homeowners realise their circumstances can change in the blink of an eye. Yes, it's lovely that your son is so caring. I hope you get something sorted.

My nice moment of the day was taking my boy to the cinema which was a rare treat. I wish we had the money to do things like this every weekend, but then I doubt we'd enjoy it as much.

DS (almost 3) recited the alphabet and was so happy whilst doing so that I found myself beaming with pride looking at his cheerful little face.

Transformed messy play room into a gym room and tv room!

NextIndia · 14/10/2017 19:04

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 14/10/2017 19:05

Cashed in all our winning lottery tickets (the odd £2.90 here and there) and scratch cards and ended up with £97.

zozozoo · 14/10/2017 19:06

A windy walk

theSnuffster · 14/10/2017 19:06

I bought a pair of size 16 jeans

BringOnTheScience · 14/10/2017 19:08

Bumped into a former pupil & parent today. Pupil had been a 'challenge' for multiple reasons and I'd put in an immense effort prepping individual resources and one to one tasks for them which had not been appreciated at the time. Today they were both delighted to see me and said how happy pupil was ... and that parent was still using the resources I'd made as they now understood that it was worth the effort.
Made my day 😀

ChristmasAccountant · 14/10/2017 19:09

DS2 took his first proper steps. Made my day.

loveulotslikejellytots · 14/10/2017 19:12

I went out with dd (nearly 2) all afternoon in the sunshine. We walked into town and walked back up the massive hill. We usually get the bus because I had shopping to carry. But we went the longer way along the coast, shopping in the pushchair and dd walked all the way home. Sure it took an hour to do a 20 minutes walk. But she was so happy pointing out dogs, sniffing flowers, dodging dog poo it didn't really feel like it took an hour.

We came home, she's eaten dinner with no arguments and gone to bed like a dream. She's probably knackered Grin

elephantoverthehill · 14/10/2017 19:13

I managed to sort out a new e-mail account and hook everything up to it.

HebeJeeby · 14/10/2017 19:14

DD passed her 11+, a real achievement as she gets terrible exam nerves. It was lovely to see her so happy at passing and overcoming her fears.

PasDevantLesElephants · 14/10/2017 19:18

My DS did awesomely at his swimming lesson, had a lovely afternoon at an apple festival and I have plans to roast chestnuts and watch Taskmaster later.

scaryteacher · 14/10/2017 19:21

Ds phoned and said his laptop has been fixed, so won't have to fork out ££££ for a new one. We also had a 25 minute chat, which was great.

Handsfull13 · 14/10/2017 19:31

8 month son learnt how to clap over night and has been doing on and off all day with the biggest grin. His twin can't yet so he just waves his arms and laughs

yawning801 · 14/10/2017 19:34

These are all amazing!
