It doesn't need to be anything earth-shattering, just something positive!

I'll start us off: I did what I've been meaning to do for five years and made a calendar of my cat! She's so photogenic so it was quite easy.

Thank you mumofthemonsters it was some thread about how 'worried' the poster was about those who rented their homes would manage in old age. Which turned into a very thinly disguised dig at renters (like it's any of her business). I too hope that the OP of that post never has an unfortunate turn of events and ends up on the bones of her arse. There but for the grace of God......

In the meantime, my son is lovely. So even if I have bollocksed everything else up, I've at least got that right Smile. I suffer with depression, anxiety and PTSD and yet I'm still here, and still contributing to society. Another little victory for today.

Two of my DC told me (independently) that I looked thin. I feel like I have have been dieting forever - so it was really nice.

I have been alcohol free for one whole month.

That's two ^ but I think they're linked! I've had a really nice day actually, I think the nice weather helps Smile

This is one is from yesterday, but it's still good: my mum has been reunited with her pooch who has been missing since the 21st! He's in a fairly rough shape, but was found by a kindly couple one of which is a vet!

Today: terminally ill relative (currently admitted in hospital) was feeling well enough to take her young daughter out to a fair and the weather was amazing for them Smile.

After living in our house for 15 years we finally got brave enough to pull the wallpaper artex stuff off our bedroom ceiling. We were worried about what it was hiding so put it off all that time (also had bigger things to deal with) Today i stared at it with hatred and we just went for it! Turns out there is a perfectly good ceiling there.. annoying that has been the case all these years but liberating Grin

DH set up a marble run with DS and they played with it together all afternoon, it was really lovely. DS (3) thought it was the best thing ever. Actually so did DH!

I got DD to vacuum her car out (1st time in around 7 months) with some gentle persuasion and help. It was beyond vile, I don't know how she could have been sitting in it. We even got the jetwash out and it's all sparkly clean on the drive.

And I set my mums new phone up. Bless her, she was so proud of herself and had written down her username and p/word for the O2 app - and thought it would work her email, FB and M & S account too........ my patience was severely tested but we got there Grin

I have spied an apple tree in the wilderness, I am going to pick them tomorrow.

I found my way from the new house to Wickes and back without incident! I then re-painted the bathroom.

The summerhouse that we ordered in July and that was meant to have been delivered, built and decorated by the started the summer holidays is finally up! Hooray!

First they lost our order, then they delayed delivery, then the carpenter was busy, then it was damaged upon delivery and we had to wait several more weeks for the replacement panels to be delivered and then the carpenter had a personal issue so had to rearrange the day he was coming. Today, finally, it was built! We have given it its first coat of wood treatment, will repeat that tomorrow and Monday, stain it next week and then we can actually use it. I'm so excited I could burst!

My DDs went for a play and early supper at the PILs with their older cousins. They all played wonderfully together - we don't see them as much as I'd like and it was wonderful to watch them all together

In order:
3 year old DS2 ate a banana and broccoli/potato dinosaurs. As a veggie dodger of epic proportions who can spy a hint of green from 1000 yards, I'm overjoyed.

I went and did 15 lovely long laps in my pool and now feel refreshed and ready for a solid work out in the morning.
