It's Friday, a good clean before the weekend.
Mirrors need a wee clean in the dining room, I find THIS!!!

What would you do??

Cheeky bitch. She's not dead. Pretending and not very good at it.

I’d let her go?

RaeCJ82 · 29/09/2017 13:51

Ooooh massive body! Could it be pregnant? 🤢 I have an irrational fear/phobia of spiders. Luckily I only really see dead ones cos my cats deal with them. I think if I post what I'd do, a lot of people would say I was cruel and that spiders are useful in the house, etc etc...!

thecatfromjapan · 29/09/2017 13:51

Paper underneath and release her into the wild.

Spiders are amazing.

Despite the astonishing architectural skills of spiders, I think we can reasonably assume they have not evolved the social consciousness to think/behave in terms such as 'cheeky'. That may be false anthropomorphism.

In short, it's not a personal affront, she's not threatening you, just release her.

Littlebatcalledlucille · 29/09/2017 13:51

Yes. Of course, I'm not doing it tho!
Just worried about the nest.

OP posts:
Littlebatcalledlucille · 29/09/2017 13:55

Will she find the nest when she's 'released'
I don't like spider's at all but I wouldn't harm one.
I'm thinking of 'the children'

AngelaTwerkel · 29/09/2017 13:59

Put it outside. No idea about a spider's homing instincts but what else can you do?

dantdmistedious · 29/09/2017 14:00

I think you're going need more than Pio to help you out with that one😀

Tinty · 29/09/2017 14:02

What is the small round thing in the jar? Have you popped in a gobstopper for her to lick? Grin

Littlebatcalledlucille · 29/09/2017 14:04

dantdmistedious lol I know maybe st Francis!

OP posts:
Littlebatcalledlucille · 29/09/2017 14:08

Littlebatcalledlucille · 29/09/2017 14:10

We have them everywhere at the moment. DH opened the backdoor yesterday morning and walked into a giant sticky web. He was not amused.

What's her name?

pigsDOfly · 29/09/2017 14:18

Do you have a garage or shed you could put them in so you're not turning them out in the cold.

Littlebatcalledlucille · 29/09/2017 14:18

I introduce

Lasqueesha.

Lasqueesha Jackson.

OP posts:
Littlebatcalledlucille · 29/09/2017 14:19

pigsDofly

Yes! The shed!

As long as her kids don't return!

OP posts:
RestingBitchFaced · 29/09/2017 17:53

Kill it - sorry but I would

RunningOutOfCharge · 29/09/2017 18:14

Why?

Dfg15 · 29/09/2017 18:17

That round thing is its babies ?! OMG I'd have to burn the house down

Scentofwater · 29/09/2017 18:18

Don't put her outside! That would kill her!

Unless you live somewhere a bit exotic she will do you no harm but do an excellent job of eating bugs that might otherwise choose you to munch on- midges and mozzies are much worse than spiders imo.

Branleuse · 29/09/2017 18:20

i just knew this thread was going to be someone freaking out about a spider.

Ecadia · 29/09/2017 18:22

That's huge... burn the whole street just to make sure they don't return! I'd be moving if I found that in my house!

Littlebatcalledlucille · 29/09/2017 18:53

Yes the round thing in (ball) in the jar is Lasqueesha's nest.
The kids are quite fascinated and I don't wanna get rid just yet, them mumsnetter's have me on a guilt trip killing it

Phosphorus · 29/09/2017 18:59
